I don’t know…. I would much rather win a race or a meet outright and in the pool head to head then win because a team disqualified. I also would never celebrate a kid messing up regardless of their age. Our team finished top 6 in 13-14 boys because of a DQ and I felt awful for that swimmer. I wasn’t cheering about it. Classless move. If you want to do a “yes” quietly under your breath because you know it will help your team total that is one thing but to be cheering loudly about it is totally unacceptable. |
You weren’t looking then. I’m not affiliated with CB; in fact I’ve commented on their unsportsmanlike behavior as well. But nice try. |
It isn’t believable because there is no reason to refuse to take the slip. It’s not like it changes the outcome. |
I completely agree. Also the CB coach cheering happened as soon as the ST hand went up for the Tuckahoe kid. Which was followed by other cheers from CB swimmers and parents in the stands. There were kids still swimming in the water. It’s on video. It is not some exaggeration and it’s an awful response to an 8 year old making a mistake. |
NP I had a direct line of site to the reps from Tuckahoe and this didn’t happen. They took the slip. There was no refusal, no arguing. Nice attempt to make people look bad though. |
There’s no reason to cheer when a young kid dq’s, but here we are. Poor sports all around. |
OKM was the direct beneficiary and you know what those boys did? They went to the Tuckahoe boys and said they were sorry about what happened. And not a single OKM person cheered. That is ghastly. The child is 8!!!! |
CB gonna CB. 🤷♂️ |
This! It’s called sportsmanship. Great job OKM! |
CB or T? Virtual meet has CB winning but we all know that T can’t be defined by a fake meet sheet. |
It’s going to be close with a lot of amazing swims I’m sure. |
I heard that Highlands beat OKM this morning. D1 is so competitive. |
T CB meet ran an hour longer than usual so that T could fight a dq to the death. |
Apparently for a point that didn't even matter
CB are such douches |
ALLEGED crazy story. Young 8&u girl blatant false start, crying, suddenly says she heard something after talking to coach. None of the other girls heard/false started. Grain of salt, heard from non bias source. |
