DH & I were D1 swimmers in college. We joined the Overlee pool this year because we heard they were the best pool in the area. We watched the meet today but were completely unimpressed. Is there a better pool that we should join instead? Our oldest will be old enough for the team next year, and we are worried that Overlee is in a downward spiral. We want our kid to swim with the best, because we all know that’s the way to get faster. |

Cracking up. You win the internet. (Or you’re a troll. Either way, so funny!!!) |
So since you're the BEST you should start a swim team. |
Ha! Sure, you drove to OKM and you don't have a kid on the team! |
Bs there is a 10 year waitlist for
overlee. You didn’t join the waitlist 5 years before you had kids. |
Guess what Overlee is a summer swim club and swimming is an individual sport. Since you were both D1 swimmers you know that summer swim is for fun. Join where your kid’s friends are in your neighborhood. Do year round swim with NCAP or similar. |
Y’all. This is sarcasm. Clearly the OP is bringing in all the ridiculousness of this page into one thread. |
We did join the waitlist before we had kids. We bought a place in North Arlington as newlyweds. We knew that our kids were likely to have natural swim talent so we joined the Overlee waitlist as soon as we closed on our house. |
Yes. As D1 swimmers, you know that the 7-week summer swim season is the key component to getting faster. Make sure they also eat enough donuts. That’s correlated with achieving motivational time standards. |
Why don’t you volunteer and coach ? |
Everyone knows it’s not the donuts that make kids faster it’s the ring pops and cotton candy at 8 am. Duh. |
Really? You don’t have a kid on the swim team yet but you drove to Burke to watch the meet against OKM? Nice try. |
I’m floored at how many of you seem to be (gullibly) taking this seriously. OP is egging you on, folks. |
Although OP is probably a troll, I just checked the results and am shocked that Old Keeene Mill beat Overlee. So there may be some truth to the notion that Overlee is losing momentum and headed for D2. |
