I am so worried that this will result in her being outed, even just in her own community. How many people will be able to associate this guy with a 10 year old girl who recently took a trip out of town for a few days? This child has already endured so much trauma, and now may be subjected to that much more as her community gossips and speculates about her.

It’s going to get worse for her. The violent forced birthers will continually harass her and her family, probably with guns. They will threaten her and her family. She won’t be able to play outside safely any more. She probably won’t be able to go to school.

Im not sheltered at all, actually. I went to the kind of school with pregnant 6th and 7th graders, and helped a fellow 12 year old through a miscarriage. I completely support abortion for rape victims. I also know that incomplete, unverified, politically charged stories should be held in some suspicion until there is corroborating info.

It’s in the link/tweet I responding to. Contrary to his claims, most cases like this would not have rape kits because that would require reporting very shortly after an incident of assault occurred since the window for a rape kit is so narrow. The doctor here would have seen this girl more than two weeks after she conceived, so even if the case were reported and there was an investigation, there would be no rape kit collection unless the girl had coincidentally been raped again within a couple of days before investigators sought the kit to allow for a valid collection. So the AG was lying when he said you would expect there to be a rape kit in this case if it were reported. Odds are there would not be.

The odds also favor that he's an ignorant moron, in line with his political ilk, who has no understanding of women's (now girl's) sexual abuse scenarios. Yeah punish the little hos for getting pregnant.

Forced birthers have been violent against doctors providing abortions for decades. There has been a violent 50 year campaign against abortion, the women seeking it, the doctors and nurses providing it and the “mainstream” GOP has been okay with this. The “Supreme” Court said that anyone could be harassed entering or exiting the clinic and that it was acceptable to harass clinic workers at their homes.

Now that children will have to leave states, they will be found and harassed and if it arises to the religious tribunal, they’ll okay that harassment too.

The Ohio AG lied. In addition to misrepresenting the regulations and policies around rape kits, he falsely claimed that he had contacted every local DA and confirmed that none were aware of facts fitting the doctor’s account. That was untrue, and we now know from the charges filed very shortly after the AG made that statement.

DP. Even if this story had turned out to be false, so what? You supposedly know based on your own personal experience that children far too young to consent to sex are impregnated by sexual predators.
