This is so sweet. Is there anything more pure than Paddington Bear?

Loved this! Her bit with Daniel Craig to open the Olympics was my favorite but this is darling.

I read there was to be a Corgi Derby Race during the weekend. Wish I could find that piece of cuteness.

My respect for the Royal family just ticked up a notch.

A in Geography
B in Art
C in Biology

Both Geography and Art are considered completely soft subjects in the Uk, not serious A levels for universities. Obviously getting a C in Bio is pretty shit too.

Now tell us Harry's A level results.

Harry took A levels and got 2 - a B in Art and a D in Geography.

Princess Diana didn't take A levels, only GCSEs at 16, in which she got a big fat ZERO because she failed them twice then dropped out of school

Wow. I didn’t know that! None of them seem terribly academic but not really their fault, is it. I bet the Cambridge kids will be more school focused.

Charles needs speech lessons. Looks like someone wrote what he said. Kept reading the paper, no emotional emphasis where needed. Did he not practice?

I like the royals. I like Kate, I like MM, I like Harry and I like William. They are all imperfect people who came from an imperfect family who have their lives scrutinized daily. I don’t get the adoration and I also don’t get the hate. They’re just people.

I came here to see pictures of dresses, hats, cute kids… you guys just made it insufferable.

ABC has a reply of last night's concert. I am watching it via Hulu Live, but it's also on ABC.com (have to have cable):

Did anyone watch the concert? I am watching the replay, and it's...interesting.

Rod Stewart almost fell over.

Duran Duran - Simon sounding a little rough and that truly bizarre fashion show, but Notorious still rocks.

I love Alicia Keys but felt it was a little strange to include her. And Lin Manual Miranda, same.

The IMAX thing on Buckingham palace is cool. William made a nice speech.

I am watching this now. This is strange. And why is Camilla up there just to stand there? I was going to speculate that there's something wrong with him but he seems mentally sharp and he even dropped a few jokes.

Wow, Queen with Adam Lambert was freaking awesome! Loved seeing May and Taylor playing their hearts out up there, and so fun that the lead-in was the QEII and Paddington tapping their teacups. God bless Adam Lambert for giving Queen a second life. (Fun fact: Brian May is also an astrophysicist and has consulted for NASA.)

I wish William and Kate and kids had been dressed more casually. Her coat dress and his suit and tie kind of missed the mark. It was fine for Charles and Camilla; no one expects them to be rocking out in their seats. It would have been more festive and emphasized the youthfulness and William's family and the future of the monarchy, plus they probably would have been more at ease to actually enjoy and move to the music. What a picture it would have been to see Charlotte and George standing up and dancing and enjoying themselves!

Because the Diana crazies still don’t want her to be “queen” when Charles ascends the throne. So the Queen has already made one announcement that she wants Camilla to be Queen Consort, and Camilla is being put front and center in events like this so that it’s clear that this is to happen. This weekend has been about messaging. I knew as soon as little Louis ran over to sit on Charles’ lap during the pageant, that they would be milking the “relatable Charles/grandfather” image for all its worth, and sure enough, that picture is all over the official social media.

Kate should take some fashion advice from Crown Princess Mary. She always gets it right.
