This really is amazing. And NYC has a 24/7 vaccine center.

We’re getting there!

They’ve actually got several - Javits and Yankee Stadium, possibly others. How much id love to get a vaccine at Yankee Stadium!

Me too! And have a drink outside of Stan's afterward. I know it's not open but I would just stand out there with a celebratory beer.

"CDC: More people in US fully vaccinated than people who have had the disease since the pandemic began

There are now more people in the United States who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 than the total number of confirmed coronavirus infections the country has seen so far during the pandemic, according to the latest data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention."

Also, according to Bloomberg, we are vaccinating at a rate of 1.94 million people a day!

That isn't just first doses though, is it?

Not really true when you consider probably 3 times as many people have had it than the official count. Though that's a good think because there's more immunity than officially counted.

We've come a long way!
A year ago I couldn't have dreamed that we'd even have a vaccine or a way out of this.

Yup, this, which I think is actually good news in itself.

Seems like it is still difficult to schedule vaccinations around here, but almost all of my relatives in NY and new England that qualify either by age or employment have gotten an appt or their first shot already. Very happy about that!

We also have some family in Lousiana and it's like open season down there- not sure if demand is super low or what but tons of open appointments at CVS apparently. Even those that don't qualify yet are able to just go at the end of the day and get a shot because they're just not getting used up. An idea for anyone who is willing to drive.

I was on cvs.com this morning and it was wild seeing the difference in vaccine appointment availability by state... DC, MD, VA, MA etc: Fully booked down the entire list. LA...tons of appointments available.

Wonder when this is going to even out, in that distribution will be more heavily tilted towards where the demand exists.

As of today, 50% of all Maryland residents 65 and over have received at least one vaccine dose!
