I think we are out of the woods, folks.

I was in the ER the other day, beautiful sunny late spring day, and the ER was teaming with sick people, best guess is Covid, since the intercom system was strangely quiet, not a lot of code yellows being announced.

There were people, adults, mostly middle aged and elderly lining the halls of the children’s section of the ER, when I remarked to the attending physician on how busy things appeared to be he wearily announced that last week was much worse. Docs were clearly frazzled and the standard of care was way off for FFX. Not a good time to be in need of ER services.

why is this good news?
maybe I misunderstood your post

I am glad that VA has results of their tracking many veterans who also got COVID and it has left lasting impact on their hearts. I hope now people will get their heart checkups regularly after they get COVID. Forewarned is forearmed.

True. thanks for the forewarning.

The good news is, that VA study involved 95 percent men, with an average age of 70 and BMI of 30, 50 percent of whom had type 2 diabetes. So rest assured, it is scarcely applicable to many of us!

My dad was recently in the hospital and I found it uplifting to hear from the CNA who was helping him that she is seeing less severe covid cases , and lesser hospitalizations.

She was a darling and I had a wonderful time chatting with her. She was so bright I encouraged her to continue her education and become a nurse...

My cousin met a handsome single doctor when she went for her checkup after Covid exposure.
