According to the Bloomberg site, we are now at a 7 day average of 1.8 million vaccine doses a day. The highest it’s ever been.

Amazing!
Here's hoping that cases and hospitalization rates will just continue falling!

If anyone wants to get involved, the Maryland Vaccine Hunters Facebook group is so informative, helpful and supportive. If you need help getting an *eligible* person a vaccine appointment, this is a resource. If you want to help people (especially older adults who might not be tech-savvy, or teachers who can't hunt during business hours like a desk-jobber like me), you can get connected and help someone out.

I’ve always thought nasal spray has sounded genius as a defense from not just Cv19 but other viruses too

My dad just passed the two-week mark since his second dose and is coming out to visit his grandkids for the first time in over a year (he lives out of state).

My mom got her first dose yesterday (she's local, we've been getting together with her outside).

My DH (essential worker) is getting his first dose today.

Kids are back at school 2 days per week. It's not 'normal', but it's something. I'm comfortable with their precautions.

For the first time in a year, I feel like we're on our way out of this mess. I'm so happy I could cry.

Vaccinations continue to ramp up and averaged 2 m per day over the past week.

Deaths and cases have resumed their declines after the data weirdness of the Texas cold snap.

Hospitalizations (and icu/ ventilator use) continue to decline.

Test positivity for the US has been below 5% (7 day average) for a week or two.

According to Blumberg, almost 3 million vaccinations recorded today. That’s almost 1% of the entire nation vaccinated in a single day! Unthinkable a month ago!

Almost half of the threads currently constituting the 1st page of this forum are good news: vaccines, treatments, vaccination sites, variants not causing spikes, etc...

This is a far, far cry from where we were at any point during 2020.

Light at the end of the tunnel!!!

This really is amazing. And NYC has a 24/7 vaccine center.

We’re getting there!
