Roger Stone's Time in the Barrel

There was no leak.

But it easier for people to focus on a fake leak than that they elected a criminal and traitor.

The charges against Stone are slam dunks. There is no need for a trial and little chance of an effective defense. Mueller’s strategy is to squeeze Stone. He will give Stone some time to make big life choices. My guess is Stone will just play the martyr, go to jail, and hope for a pardon. His strategy is based on Trump staying in power.

The dramatic arrest does not add up. Mueller, et al are acting like A$$holes.

Wait, Mueller et al are acting like a$$holes, but the person who lied to Congress, hid evidence from Congress and Mueller only to turn them over to the media and who threatened dog is a very fine person?

And that doesn't even touch the potential of conspiring with Wikileaks (aka Russia) and Donald Trump against the voters of the United States of America.

Trump cannot pardon someone who is material to his own investigation. That would be furtherance of obstruction of justice.

Stone has a choice = spend the rest of his life in prison or cooperate.

They took his passport, right?

He has travel restrictions: South FL, EDVA, EDNY, and DC. Passport was taken away.

He might be killed unless he has protection by Mueller.

You think Trump / Putin would do that?

I don't know about Trump but you're kidding yourself if you think Putin wouldn't. Would you like a list of all his enemies and perceived enemies who have died?

Take off the tin foil hats. Like all the other arrests, this has nothing to do with Russia. Or Trump. You people are the biggest conspiracy theorists.

Connect dots:

Wikileaks = Russia
Wikileaks => Stone
Stone => Bannon
Bannon=> Trump Campaign

Trump Campaign => Steve Bannon

The "high-ranking Trump official" Stone communicated with per Mueller indictment appears to be Steve Bannon according to multiple reports.

So did Bannon act on his own, or did someone higher in the campaign direct this?

The indictment says the “senior campaign official” was “directed to” ask about Wikileaks. Read the whole thread, people.

Do you know who else communicated with Wikileaks?

Greetings Don Jr, how is your day?

It was a rhetorical question.

Shocking that people are defending a criminal.

Roger Stone is going on Tucker Carlson’s show tonight. Mueller has his DVR set.

He needs to raise about $2M for his defense. This will kick off his gofundme.

"the wall" was Stone's idea.

Stone has screwed Donald twice today.

Anonymous wrote:How was CNN there to film the raid?

Explained upthread, they were aware of 'unusual' grand jury activity and surmised that a Stone arrest was in the offing.

My grandma lives near that area and there’s absolutely no parking in those ‘hoods. It had to be prearranged for CNN to get vans and crews in there. For sure.

CNN suspected there was something up because the grand jury met yesterday and it doesn’t usually meet on Thursdays. It’s called good journalism.

The story of the good journalism - https://www.cnn.com/2019/01/25/politics/roger-stone-raid/index.html

And, this is why I think there is something more to this story:
"As of Thursday night, neither Stone nor his attorney believed he would be arrested on Friday morning. They also were convinced that Stone would have an opportunity to turn himself in, rather than an unexpected pre-dawn arrest at home."

Arrests of this type generally don't go down with 12 agents and guns drawn. It is usually an agreement. Interesting that CNN happened to show up an hour before the arrest and that it was as dramatic as it was.

There is more when it is a 14 year old AA kid with a dime bag. Who do you think you are kidding? They dodn't blow up doors or act like storm troopers, but you want to get evidence on site , so you need to act swiftly and with enough manpower (unpaid) to make it a successful operation.

Oh, FFS. Evidence? They have charged him with process crimes. He has stated numerous times that he thought he would be indicted. If he was going to destroy evidence, he would have done it long before today.
The dramatic arrest does not add up. Mueller, et al are acting like A$$holes.

Again, please explain to me how “process crimes“ differ from regular crimes. Is there a different criminal code? TIA!

Process crimes are crimes that are a result of the investigation. In other words, said individual had committed no crime PRIOR to the special counsel being created. The only crimes he is charged with are crimes that happened due to the counsel's existence.
Lying is always bad. Not excusing it - if he did lie. But, to make a leap and say this has anything to do with Russia is just a joke.
If Mueller had evidence of any kind of "collusion," you know damn well he would have been charged with it.
But, there is nothing in the indictment

Huh? The investigation started in 2017. Did you even read the indictment?
Anonymous
OK. If there is evidence he should be charged. Fair enough. But please tell me -- Why get him at 6 am, why put a chain around his waist in addition to handcuffs, why take him out in his pajamas without giving him a chance to change clothes? I feel like calling the FBI to complain.
