I think she’s strong and fabulous and seems like a great mum and woman.

We know nothing about KM that hasn’t been fed to us by the media. If Will wanted to ditch her for his mistress or if KM got sick of Will’s crap, believe me the skeletons would come out. Diana was perfect until she wasn’t. The system exists to support the Crown and no one else.

I will say that her team has done a very good job with her media image. I think more people would prefer her as Queen to Will as King. But most people felt the same about Diana and it didn’t matter. The Crown does what it has to defend itself and has been doing so for hundreds of years.

When things look "perfect" it's because Kate is doting on the kids and William and he looks neutral. He rarely looks particularly invested in her or the kids. At best he's got a frozen smile on his face while they are nearby.

Kate always looks much more relaxed and happy when she is on her own or just with the kids. Any event with William she looks much more rigid. Still of course smiling and putting on a good face, but stiffer and less natural.

They really do not do that many events together, either. Which is interesting.

It’s also extremely notable that Kate used to look so happy around Harry more so than she ever did around William.

I made the earlier no-dignity comment about Kate (which I stand by). But I also do think she seems so like a wonderful mom to her kids, as does Meghan. Just calling it like I see it, pretty neutral here. I really don’t like the toxicity of pitting the two women against each other. They’re clearly very different; that’s ok with me. I do think William thinks he’s #1 above Kate, whereas Harry puts Meghan ahead of himself.

+1. I like Kate, I just think William seems like he sucks. My impression is that William treats those close to him fairly poorly, whether it's his younger brother or his wife, and that Kate and Harry have just taken very different approaches to dealing with it, in part because it's different being an adult sibling than being a spouse/mother of his kids.
