So how do these doctors/epidemiologists explain global/national/local trends? These same 'glass half empty' experts said that mid-February was going to be a catastrophic peak of biblical proportions.

DP. It was. It peaked early. (Just like our big snowstorm.)

Now I want to hear if this will be it or if we're in for the third wave later this year or next year.

Interesting twitter thread by Youyang Gu on that. He's saying that while it's very possible that there's a fourth wave, it will very likely be nowhere near the past ones.

That's a good point.
I think we all need to realize that no one really knows anything for sure... these predictions are their best guesses. Sometimes they get things wrong .

I love that this thread points towards the optimistic and uplifting articles. Helps me keep my spirits high

I saw that thread last night, it capped off a day with a lot of good news coming out.

I agree. As much as I'd love to have April, I'll take June as all systems are go.

I liked how he referenced potential selection bias with the various experts. The most negative ones will have their voices amplified.
