Private School Lacrosse Thread

I know it is Landon's last year with Bordley at the helm, but doing a bit of online research and Bullis really seems stacked. Taking all of the usual barbs out of any discussion that brings up Bullis athletics, does Landon even have a chance to repeat this year? Aside from the talented Epstein, will the Landon coaching/system be able to keep the Bears on top? it seems like the IAC remains a two horse race with Bullis now replacing Prep. Asking for good discussion...in my opinion, despite the talent, the Bears will prevail. Let's hear it!

Yeah Landon has no chance might as well just pack it in now.

Yawn. Go back a couple of pages dude. It’s all been discussed ad nauseum.

Prep is the team that will surprise. Landon will be very good but most likely will not go undefeated again. Bullis all starters except Trippi. (Trippi is big loss) SSSA, St Albans, and Episcopal will be strong and just a notch below Landon, Prep, and Bullis.

Bullis is a collection of all star players who the coach has recruited to the school. Other than one senior committed to play for a d1 program, the rest of the kids who are committed to D1 programs are transfers, including a senior transfer who "left" another area private school power.

I question if Bullis will bring it all together as a team or if it will be rather a bunch of individuals who care more about individual stats.

I'm going with Hoyas vs Bears in the finals!

Bullis is going to roll all of you.

just like last year when the Bullis boosters thought the Bulldogs would dominate Landon in the IAC finals.

Landon could have won by 20 goals in that game if they had wanted too....

You idiot Landon dad. NOBODY from Bullis said they were going to dominate Landon in the IAC finals last year. Landon was the best in the area last year and arguably had their best team ever. Just like Bullis in 2016, Landon had a dominant season last year.

On PAPER, Bullis is the favorite, followed by Landon and SSSAS. The rest of the IAC will be far behind. Landon could win it, but Bullis has the best roster as of now.

Go Bearrrtthhh.

Imagine Upstate NY around Syracuse where they expect the cold and thrive in it.

Toughness is a fundamental part of lacrosse. This isn't tennis.

Yo upstate ny douche-
Think su practices in shorts/tees right now? Compression wear has made long strides over the years.
Ps-Syracuse plays indoors.

Is this a kid writing this? Please tell me this isn’t a parent.

Oh is this why the lax players at our all boys school make fun of other sports and make fun of other boys? Is this the kind of attitude you’re teaching your children? It’s no surprise that the boys that seem to be the meanest and get into the most trouble all play lax. 12 and 13-year-old boys should not be speaking the way I am hearing boys speak to each other and about each other and others.

Not complaining about the cold and getting out there and practicing has absolutely nothing to do with how one treats their classmates.

He put down tennis players.

OP, here. Sorry to get anyone's panty's in a bunch if this is being re-hashed.

This is exactly my question....on paper, Bullis looks stacked. I know they have assistants that are active coaches in area club's. Does Bullis play glorified club ball with lot's of isolation, or do they have a system, like Landon, that allows for more inter-changeble parts?
