I am not a Oz fan. But criticizing over Turkish military stint is a bit too far! Are you saying a Jewish citizen of Israel or a Ukrainian who joined armed forces to fight Russia shouldn’t become a U.S. citizen and run for an elected office? |
Not PP but Oz has voted in more Turkish elections than Pennsylvania elections. And he’s still a dual citizen. |
| 83% of Pennsylvania voters through OZ won. What is most telling is the desperate defense of an indefensibly poor candidate by posters on this board. And the blatant lie about supporting fracking and his refusal to release medical records are disqualifying. |
So we can't trust immigrants and dual citizens to be senators? |
Pennsylvania proved that refusing to release medical records was not disqualifying in 2016. |
| What is really absurd is that Fetterman delayed the debate until well after mail-in voting began…..over 600k votes have already been cast. And shame on his family for putting him through this ordeal. |
you can if you want. Many might prefer their representatives to be all in on American citizenship. This is why we vote and choose. Oh...and then respect the result of the election. There is that part too |

You don’t think it’s important for a US Senator to be able to process information and communicate effectively? Well you found your candidate I suppose but perhaps you might want to be a bit more thoughtful about what qualifies a person to be Senator. And btw, I’m not at all a fan of oz but objectively fetterman is a dismal candidate even setting aside his health. |
DH just told me he was on a group Zoom call with national leaders in his field-- and Fetterman--last week. He said Fetterman did not stumble on his words or need any special equipment like a transcription machine or teleprompter. It was a small group (10 or under) and Fetterman didn't seem to have prepared remarks, so maybe he does better in a smaller setting where he can be himself. I asked DH twice to clarify whether or not Fetterman seemed to stumble over words or hesitate and he answered both times that he did not. So I'm going with that piece of insight into Fetterman's mental acuity--and not what anyone else says. |
Great - you and your husband and 9 other people know that. You'd better call up all 13 million PA residents and tell them. |
Sounds anecdotal, and therefore irrelevant. His performance last night is what he should be judged on. |
Weird flex, bro. |
