Congratulations to Oakton and a big shout out to their defense that allowed only 150 goals all season. That’s roughly an average of a little over 7 goals a game! Pretty damn good D!
Go Cougars!! |
Lacrosse State Championships were sanctioned by VHSL starting in 2006. Therefore anything before wasnt acceptable. Oakton won 06,!07, and 08. |
That explains it. |
When Coach Counts was at Oakton?! |
Wasn't acceptable? Wasn't "acceptable??" What does that mean?? wait.... who the eff are you? Some pompous jack wagon? Read what you wrote. Oh the mighty Lord VHSL... give me a break. You sound like a complete tool. |
The only thing that "sanctioning" means, is that the VHSL sponsors the event, gets their greedy little paws and makes money on the event/tournament. It is All about the Money for the VHSL-- it does not diminish the accomplishments or value of the State Championships. |
Not sure. Before this season, Oakton’s last state title was in 2012. If she has led a team to the title, that would probably be the only one. I know she has not ever led Madison to the promised land. She is a good coach, but her teams always seem to underperform expectations in the state tournament. |
Wow, that’s the dumbest thing posted yet! Tell that to all the players who rightfully earned a state title before VHSL took it over 🙄 also, they are listed on the school walls and in the papers |
That’s kinda like saying college football championships before the playoffs or BCS aren’t acceptable… |
Yep, all those titles were under Counts! |
She must have lost her touch. Her senior laden team last year was her best chance. And dropping games this year to Westfield and Robinson, both teams Oakton crushed by 10 or more goals, indicates something is wrong in Warhawk land. |
Yeah, not really. Because the NCAA still was in charge of it all. But nice try making your school sounds great |
Final Washington Post top 10 is out. Publics in the top ten are Oakton at #7 and Dominion at #10. Good Counsel is #1 |
Way to join VHSL in a history of discriminating against women's sports. Your daughter would be proud! |
The post had nothing to do about women’s sports. It was about an incorrect reference. But hey, whatever floats your boat. Glad you had something to complain about today |
