When he was in Nebraska, he was a head coach for a High School football team. When he moved to Minnesota, he was the head coach for a junior varsity (9th grade) team and the Linebacker coach and defensive coordinator for the varsity team. I personally think it was perfect. It shows his leadership skills in being able to lead both the junior varsity as head coach and the varsity team as defense coordinator and it showed that he was a great support leader. The head coach of the varsity team said that Walz was a great team player and support leader for him and they worked well together. I think this shows that as Vice President, he will be great at the leadership tasks he has while still being a great support leader in supporting his President and her agenda. It means he is well suited to being the Vice President without trying to grandstand or show up his boss, but also able to step into the role if needed to handle the top leadership role. You don't want a Vice President who is going to upstage and try to be President. This was one of the issues with Governor Shapiro. He was very ambitious and even while interviewing for the VP role, he was asking about the areas where he would be in charge and able to shine. He was likely to try to upstage Harris as VP while trying to set himself to possible primary her in 2028. Not something she would want to have to contend with on top of everything else. Walz is well suited to be the supporting partner. |
Your point is truly stupid. The majority of the public has no idea what IUI is and the differences. As far as most people are concerned, they are the same. It's easier to use the term that is more well understood. Do you even know the differences? To the medical community, there is a big difference. To the layman, they are close variations of the same procedure. The only difference is where the zygote is fertilized. In IUI, the sperm is inserted into the uterus and fertilized in the uterus. In IVF, the sperm and egg are both harvested and are fertilized in the lab and the fertlized zygote is inserted into the uterus. As I said, the majority of the lay community will not know the difference unless you describe it to them. We had IVF and I know men whose partners had to conceived by IUI who called it iVF as a general term for artificial insemination rather than the medically correct term of IUI. You're being pedantic because you don't like the Harris-Walz ticket and you are just splitting hairs. Now, would you like to fact check any of Trump's recent speeches? Because we'd be here all week talking about each of them. He has between dozens and hundreds of mistakes that are far greater than this in every one of his speeches. |
Here's the thing I don't understand about that poster. Do they think people are going to go 'Oh, he only had to do IUI, not IVF, and now I'm definitely not gonna vote for him'? It is common to use terminology other people understand, instead of getting into the weeds about correct medical terms. It reminds me of the time I overheard my daughter telling another kid that she is a swimmer, when she's a diver. I asked her why she said that, and she said 'Mom, no one understands what diving is, and if I say I dive, they all go 'Oh, so you swim?'. So, I just say I swim'. It's not true, but in the grand scheme of things, it does not matter one bit. |
| Go ahead and advise your kids to only call the head coach "Coach" and everyone else "Mr." because they don't deserve it. Somebody has to keep the bench warm. |

Walz is really the middle American man - he pulled $135K from his retirement account to pay for his DD's college. That may not be the best idea, but a lot of middle income Americans do this because they don't have enough saved for their kid's college.
He has not been bought by Corporate America. I bet his tax returns will show he's the least wealthy VP in the past 30 years. Both Trump and Vance have been bought by Corporate America. If you want a candidate who hasn't, vote for the Harris/Walz ticket. |
They are both artificial fertility treatments. WTF are you serious. |
Yes you do. A liar. A cheat. A sex offender. A thief. A fraudster. An adulterer. A convicted felon. A narcissist. And more. |
| Yeah, what the discussion of the impact of Dobbs and how families are struggling really needs is a detailed diversion into how much down is going through what tubes. Right. That's relevant detail. |
Are you really this stupid, or just troll a lot online. |
| *how much sperm |
I am smart enough to know that IUI and IVF are two completely different procedures. So there’s that. |
Why do you want to know exactly which artificial tube a guy's sperm was put through, you freak? |
Can you show me where Republicans are planning to ban IUI? I can’t find their stance on IUI in particular anywhere. I am, however, finding a lot on IVF. |
Because fertilizing an egg outside the body is completely different from fertilizing one inside the body. You freak. |
An embryo is implanted, not a zygote. |
