It is common to use terminology other people understand, instead of getting into the weeds about correct medical terms. It reminds me of the time I overheard my daughter telling another kid that she is a swimmer, when she's a diver. I asked her why she said that, and she said 'Mom, no one understands what diving is, and if I say I dive, they all go 'Oh, so you swim?'. So, I just say I swim'. It's not true, but in the grand scheme of things, it does not matter one bit.[/quote]
