I agree! I can't believe people keep commenting and bringing it back to life! Some people are just do not get it. Why can't people be more self aware?

I know you are poking fun at me, but I have been waiting without comment for this thread to die on its own for about 10 pages now, LOL. It became impossible for me to ignore any longer. Who knows, maybe we can help get this scintillating discussion to 21 pages.

Challenge accepted! I'm the PP who was poking fun at you. My DC goes to Davidson. So, I don't mind if the the thread goes to 21 pages. To me, the most ridiculous posts are not yours, but the people who simply answer yes or no. Then again, the original question didn't exactly invite instructive responses.

Ok YES this NP has heard of this school. Many will argue that its a gem in the south. Most students that I know who went through have done fine. This poster disagrees with those comparing it the Williams of the world. Its just not the same.

Of course. It's a great school. One of my favorite history professors got his undergraduate degree there.

This. Precisely. Also--it's a sports school.

Anyone who acts shocked that you don't know the name of the school their kid is attending is just an asshole. Flag 'em as such and move on.

Yup. Good school. Better than Williams et al in my opinion.

Ok Your opinion fine. But how did you arrive at that conclusion? The weather is better in NC than Mass?

I had never heard of it until someone was bragging at a funeral that a girl was going there
Anonymous
Have heard of it. Beautiful place. Nice weather.

As an alumnae, this thread cracks me up. I almost went to U of Chicago and have often wondered if I should have bc if the greater "brand" recognition. But, I loved Davidson, its relative obscurity notwithstanding.
