OP here: HE WORKS FOR 2 PRIVATE FARMS. I do not know a number to call for them as he drives around for their farms and always just uses his cellphoje. If I could call his work, I would have by now.

You said above you knew the name of his employer. It isn't that hard to find a phone number. Call them and see what they say. Maybe they've talked to him.

But OP, does anyone he knows know the names? Are these farms near where he lives (surely)? Couldn't you google to find out the farm names and try calling a few? Seriously, google is your friend in these situations.

Google the relatives phone numbers. Google for the farm names. Google the Maine arrest records. I don't understand your reluctance to try these things. If you don't like google, use a different search engine!

OP, I saw either a movie or TV show recently and for the LIFE of me can't remember what it was but basically a girl that a guy was seeing fell off the face of the earth and he was so worried that he got her landlord to open her apartment to check on her - she was home and got really angry - she just didn't want to see/talk to him anymore. That's probably what's happening here.

Assuming you have a cell phone with internet access you can easily still be accessible by your beau while on the road, so I'm not sure why you wouldn't drive 4 measly hours to make sure he isn't dead on his living room floor.

OP - my uncle is the police chief of a city in Maine - Vassalboro. If you have a name, I can have him do some digging. I briefly gave him the backstory and he said it is very likely that your BF is in jail. They take hunting offseason very seriously. You may want to drive up there to bail him out.

If he's been missing for 48 hours you don't fart around trying to get in touch with relatives on Facebook. You CALL THE COPS. ANYONE with a modicum of common sense would tell you to do that. If his local cops don't find anything wrong during the wellness check they can take a statement about the fact that he is MISSING.

If there has been something untoward that has happened don't you want to get the ball rolling?
