It really shouldn't be a tough call. Anyone that has been on the roads knows they're fine. Especially when you get out of your neighborhood. Go easy on the accelerator and use some common sense in the meantime.

Drop offs are going to be a mess.

The county clearly made MCPS driveways and parking lots a priority. They were cleared before a lot of roads were.

The has been said, it's not based not the roads but schools with uncleared parking lots and sidewalks.

I meant the traffic, not the snow. More people will drive their kids, inexperienced high school drivers will be driving themselves, most people won’t build in enough extra time.

To announce they're opening on-time?

+1 on-time

We’ll be lucky if it is just a delay. I think they won’t open at all.

Agree. Likely closed for one more day.

Highly unlikely. Taylor got a lot of flack today for closing. With the county being done with the roads they're responsible for, it would be hard to justify another closure.

Who is he getting flack from?

You're kidding.

No one blamed him for Monday or Tuesday, but MCPS building services were out working on Monday and Tuesday to open schools. And he didn't. Not even on a delay. Not even child care programs. He absolutely got flack.

And now he's going to need to add a make-up day, something he probably never experienced in his old job. I'm sure people have been telling him what a mess that is going to be.

Ahh, yes. That's a very good point. I think you're right about that.

Not a big deal. We have all winter to gp to school with no snow. Let the kids sled!

What school still doesn't have cleared sidewalks or parking lots?
