No one is saying she isn't a huge loss, as is the SB player, but they won't be the only ones who drop.
SR lost almost half of their starters, SJC lost half of theirs, Visi lost half of theirs. |
8 Commits in the 25 class, one being a backup goalie. As mentioned before, one of their best players also could miss the season after coming off ACL. Only 2 26 commits thus far. All that said, I do expect them to be the team to beat in the WCAC and as an outside observer, I give them the benefit of the doubt to be the #1 "DC" team until proven otherwise. I would like to see the GC/SR rematch. I'd expect it to be much closer this year. |
SR lost to BI yesterday so if we are going by indoor scores like some people seem to want to, going to be a rough year for SR. |
BI will be the only WCAC team to keep the GC game even close. Even after GC lost the talent they did they are still stacked at all grade levels their best goalie and possibly the best goalie in the DMV she is only a sophomore. |
I still believe the impact to GC is more significant. SR just replaces their starters with younger versions of them, so no real drop-off in performance. However, the impact to GC is more significant. Here is what Coach Haight had to say about Hannah Rudolph: “Hannah is the best all-time player we’ve ever had, and that’s big shoes — that includes Team USA players, collegiate all-Americans, you name it,” Haight said. Unfortunately there are likely no younger versions of Hannah Rudolph available to swap in, so there will be a drop-off. |
