First of all, you have to recruit people into a S storm that has been Waashington DC for thirty years. It's like a torture chamber where half the country is discontent no matter what you do. Everyone is trying to overthrow everyone. Then you have to get the monetary incentive out. Good luck with that. No legislation fixes that. I can assure you it just goes underground and becomes an all-cash with backroom deals situation. What we have today in the USA are a bunch of spoiled brats who want everything, and they don't want to pay for it - they want "the other guy" to pay for it. Detoxing is impossible - you end up with government edicts like the "Disinformation Governance Board". Seriously, when we cite other countries for "democracy", "freedom" and other buzzwords, we have nothing to talk about. Your turn. |
Cite - I mean call out or censure. |
Hello there “average Americans”! I too am an “average American” wanting prudent American leadership. You sure should like an average American… sure…. |
I don't disagree with most of what you're saying but I do still have hope. When our country's poor leadership eventually causes a deterioration in the quality of life for not just the poor but all classes of people, Americans will finally wake up and demand change with their voting habits. When all citizens get a taste of some of the hardships poor people experience everyday, we will no longer tolerate just such BS as POTUS general election match-ups of candidates as weak as Trump and Biden. We are, at are core, better than that. |
… but you don’t have any policy goals. So … ok. Sure. 👍 |
GOPers break more stuff than Dems. Neither fix anything. |
Biden gave us competent administration, turned our economy around and restored our reputation abroad - but he didn't give us sunshine and rainbows. Therefore I'm voting third party to stick it to the man. |
Yea, 30 points is a bit of a stretch but it would be at least in the 15 to 20 point range. Trump is that bad. |
Pompous middlebrow like this deserves an extra warm corner of hell. |
I think it was sarcasm, gently ribbing the people who demand sunshine and rainbows from Democrats (but don’t mind a touch of treason from a Republican). |
No, they are Trump operatives trying to get us to stay on board with running Biden in 2024 so that Trump has a chance to win in 2024. They think they're so clever but they aren't. |
I can't vote for Biden because he supports racial equity which requires racial discrimination. He also supports males with a mental disorder over females 8n Title IX which is illiberal and insane. As the father of daughters, I can't vote for someone who does this. |
Fine. Just don't vote for Trump either because that would be even worse. |
Disgruntled PP didn’t provide answers to this question, but I think potential 3rd party voters are tired of Rs/Ds providing little to no actual results pertaining to: controlling healthcare costs, the cost of college/student debt, immigration reform, the environment, overseas military spending. Part of the reason 3rd party/independent voters are independent is because they aren’t married to a concept that pushes them into one camp or the other (eg single-payer), but just want “something better”. Maybe that comes across as “unserious”, but I do think that a 3rd party candidate who can tap into and speak to those voters can make some waves. For all his warts, RFK Jr. is polling at 20ish percent in polls that match him up with Biden and Trump. |
Biden has not shoved a women into the wall and sexually assaulted her and been required to pay significant damages so I think the choice is pretty clear for anyone with daughters, or sons. |
