Rob Reiner: a vote for No Labels, Bobby Kennedy, Cornel West or Jill Stein is a vote for Trump

Good vote for the person you want. If you vote for a third party candidate, it is a vote for trump. Voter should understand that.

How is a vote for a non-D or Non-R candidate anymore a vote for Trump than it’s a vote for Biden?

It’s isn’t necessarily.
If you are a 2020 Biden voter who is “disappointed” they didn’t get evey little thing their heart desired, your third party vote hurts Biden.
If you are an “independent” who weirdly almost always votes republican, and you vote third party this time around, your third party vote hurts Trump.
The only thing that is known is that your third party candidate will not be elected president, because there is no math for that.
The country might be craving a third party, but the country has done zero of the work to make that a reality. It needs to start at the state level, and move up. It takes people coming together to build a grass roots coalition.
A gang of billionaires throwing their money behind a campaign has never (thankfully) worked.

I was with you right up till your last sentence. For those who don’t want a Democrat in office, the triple car crash (pun intended) of Nader, Nader, Sanders/Stein worked a treat.

I know you meant “to actually get a third party candidate in office,” and yes, on that level it’s never worked. But a spoiler has worked several times, to the detriment of the health of this country.

Yes. I stand corrected. And I shouldn’t have written the above because a gang of billionaires is backing a third party candidate to get Trump elected.

Rob Reiner is right. And if you care about this country at all, you will run to the polls and vote for Biden even if the man is on life support somewhere.

An R in the White House is going to be the death of this country as we know it.

I am done playing nice. I am going to say this every day to every person who brings up this topic.

We are teetering on the edge of collapse and a D in the White House is the only thing keeping us from falling.

Rob Reiner knows Biden is vulnerable to any competition because Trump’s base is so strong.

I think it's pretty obvious to any thinking person that "movements" like "No Labels" and "RFK Jr." are little more than a cynical and disingenuous astroturfing attempt to lure voters away from the left rather than actually being a bonafide alternative third party vote.

However that said, there is huge potential for it to backfire as it could draw away voters from the right who are appalled with Trump but who don't want to vote D.

This. Fools like Reiner need to do their own work of dealing with the problems of our society, not whine about those disappointed with the flush, psychopathic major party candidates.

<— This guy fascists, too. So many Republicans so hopeful that a new Nader Nader SandersStein will deliver them a GOP White House.

Well educate voters about how spoilers work. If they vote for the spoiler, at least they will understand the effect of their vote.

Voters should understand that no labels candidate or whoever, has no intention of actually winning or serving. They are intending to help trump win. Voters should be clear on that.

I think you actually meant crazy

Why is it impossible for so many of you to blame the Democrats for their own failures? If you don’t like their results (i.e. a high likelihood of GOP, possibly Trump, victory) shouldn’t you be re-assessing the Democrats and aiming at something better?

The only thing wrong with Biden is his age. Fight me.

I am so effing tired of the D’s having to thread the tiniest of needles to make you idiots happy vs the Rs putting up sacks of crap and then being told it’s our fault and you were forced to vote for that.

No, I will not be would searchin or whatever you want me to do. I blame you morons for everything wrong with this country.

Ack - that was supposed to say soul searching

I'm smart enough to know there are people smarter than me and I listen to what those people have to say.

The internet has everyone thinking they're a g.d. genius, but most people aren't.

Lol. Trump will never win unless they go in and try some shenanigans to try to prevent Biden crushing him again.

If people don’t understand math, they’re going to be susceptible to not understanding that, in a two party system, you can’t magically make a third party candidate happen. And as a (or a few) pps have said, none of these “third” (spoiler) parties ever put in the work at the grassroots. Why? Because there’s not really a need for a third party. There’s a need for the GOP to stop being a bunch of fascist glass bowls.

Agree but people are stupid.

Why put in much work? The point is not to win. The point is to spoil.
