Gosh I don't think so. Are you the poster on this college forum who frequently states that "most" this or that, but who never has the facts to back it up and thinks just by saying it repeatedly it must be true and believed? I think you're one of the most stupid posters out there. |
I barely post here, but thanks anyway. |
You also seem to have trouble with commas. |
Why would you tie admission rate to "prestige"? Is prestige related to the number of kids rejected rather than to the underlying quality of the students who attend, or the quality of the education provided? |
you just came in to opine on UVA and then to reply to a response? odd, but ok |
Find the school that is the best fit for YOUR kid. That matters much more than some list or emorphous prestige. |
|
This, OP. Your child will be most successful at the school that is the best fit. These are all wonderful schools. |
They are all very good schools. Ignore the USNWR rankings and the idea of “prestige”. |
I tend to think of BC as the college where bright catholic children go it they can't get into Notre Dame. |
+1. Prestige means will people be impressed where my kid got into when I tell them. I think each school has different strengths. |
I'm looking at the career outcomes and they look similar to me. Actually Georgetowns looks a bit better than both and is ironically the lowe's ranking one out of the 3 you mentioned. |
OK, but I guess I'm never really very impressed that someone's kid is getting a Bachelors degree. Even if it is at a school with a low acceptance rate. It is like expecting a reaction to your kid being in the national honor society or something. |
+1 |
We should ignore when a school is ranked 14 spots higher than the other? Because some stated that they think BC is more prestigious than Emory. Imagine some saying rankings don't matter ;Emory is just as good as Stanford. The 14 spot difference in ranking doesn't matter. |
