We are going to look like fools DL while the rest of the country opens up

OP, New Zealand is not a state in USA. You are so stupid.

NJ gov wanted all schools back. He finally just said DL could be an option.

OP— we cannot pretend that a pandemic doesn’t exist. Denial will not serve us well.

Entire state of Connecticut will go back to full 5 day in-class experiences. Must be nice.

Did the OP deny there was a pandemic. Isn’t there one all over the world? What other country is considering ONLY distance learning?

None. Zilch. Nada

Yes, many school districts in the Northeast have plans to reopen. That doesn’t mean or guarantee they actually will.

Today is the first day with over 1,000 deaths in six weeks.

OP, this post is not going to age well.

I dunno. Will you look like a fool when the rest of the country opens up? Only if you are dead because you think COVID is fake.

No, we will be alive.

Why is it if you think the country, state, or county is over-reaching, you crazy helicopters accuse people of thinking it is a hoax? Go somewhere else with your nonsense. We know it is real. We know how it is spread and we know schools with proper PPE will not be hot spots. Otherwise every daycare, camp, pool, etc.., would be closed.

The hot spots are in one place only. Bars and restaurants. Young people singing, sharing drinks, sucking face, hooking up, no masks, passing it along.

Yet OCMD bars are open and schools are closed.

So true. A few major cities too. Otherwise moving on with education.

Actually, most are opening up. DC, Philly, NYC, Boston. All have hybrid plans in place.

And this is something I, honestly, don't understand. NYC's school system is huge, kids and teachers take public transportation to get to class, and NY is still offering a hybrid. Philly, Boston are big districts, too. What's different there, virus-wise? Are their teachers somehow less prone to infection?

If you look at the COVID stats, they have it under control. MD and VA do not.

So, how come the biggest city in the country, along with other big cities, can control the epidemic and MD and VA cannot? If you can stop the spread in the island of Manhattan, with people on top of each other, why can't you stop the spread in Montgomery friggin county?
Honest question.

Close bars/indoor dining, beaches, any place people gsther

This is NOT true. New Haven is planning for a hybrid model with 4-12 going 2 days per week.
