We are going to look like fools DL while the rest of the country opens up

Rest of the country? The rest of the world. Only wealthy districts in the dmv are kicking the can on this.

Florida looks real smart right now. Almost as good as Brazil.

California had one of the most restrictive and longest shutdowns, yet is in the same boat as the states you’re chastising. Failed logic. Next.

Northern California implemented the shutdown immediately and successfully (probably stopping the spread of the virus from China). Then they opened up and probably got new outbreaks from beach/vacation traffic from the rest of the US. It's Southern California that exploded and now the whole state is in terrible shape.

Look at mass graves Brazil and Iraq than put your mask on and carry on and get through this. Be grateful MCPS is being Proactive not Reactive to the Fall/Winter predicted by Trump worsening before better crisis

I would be choosing full time DL no matter where I lived. Why is everyone so stupid? The virus is airborne. Masks don’t block all the air from leaving a persons body. So if a kid leaves a cloud of virus in the school room, another kid is going to breath it in. Why would I expose my kid to that?

False. California didn't shutdown everywhere and they opened up too soon.

Florida. So. Much. Winning.

They can't even have the Republican Convention there.

Actually, most are opening up. DC, Philly, NYC, Boston. All have hybrid plans in place.

And this is something I, honestly, don't understand. NYC's school system is huge, kids and teachers take public transportation to get to class, and NY is still offering a hybrid. Philly, Boston are big districts, too. What's different there, virus-wise? Are their teachers somehow less prone to infection?

Nope, we are doing fine with dl. The places that are doing in person are mostly those places influenced by the reopener trolls and antimaskers. Go live there if you don't like it here.

If you look at the COVID stats, they have it under control. MD and VA do not.

So, how come the biggest city in the country, along with other big cities, can control the epidemic and MD and VA cannot? If you can stop the spread in the island of Manhattan, with people on top of each other, why can't you stop the spread in Montgomery friggin county?
Honest question.

Then stay in your basement.

Basement is better than being buring 6 ft under like the many idiots who are following Trump.

I think they want to die and we should let them.
