Neither was an opening of Parliament or a Brexit deal. Yet I see William only complaining about one thing. He only has the balls to punch down not up. I’d love to see the KP courtiers take a snipe at the Prime Minister’s office for knocking them off every single front page - they’d go running back with their tails firmly between their legs. |
Wow I just realized I never even knew what her voice sounded like |
Kate is not the best speaker but she does an adequate job in English. Unfortunately, she should have rehearsed the Urdu sentences at least a few time because she butchered it and it seemed that she was reading it for the first time. Terribly done. |
+1. Kate looked incredible! Loved her clothes!!! |
If I were her dad, it would absolutely destroy me to see her so sad. |
There's nothing they can do about it. I remember when it was announced that Harry and Meghan would not receive a separate court at Windsor and instead all their communications would fall under Buckingham Palace and the Queen's eye. Well, now Buckingham is backing the Sussexes and there isn't a damned thing the Cambridges or Kensington Palace can do about it. Buckingham Palace was helping to promote a documentary about Harry and Meghan's Africa tour releasing clips of Harry criticising the press and Meghan saying how tough it had been for her as a new mum. https://news.sky.com/story/royal-tour-william-and-kate-have-shown-how-they-should-be-done-11839071 |
I liked her clothes too. Although I do think she should have thrown in some more local designers. Agree about MM. |
I’m worried for her. She looks quite fragile. |
I think Meghan's problem is that her support system is overseas. Even her wealthy friends who are successful leave Britain because its easier to thrive and build businesses in NYC or LA. Even the Clooneys, who have an amazing $12 million English country mansion (below), are primarily based in the U.S. and I believe are enrolling their kids in a private Upper East Side school this year. Her mother is in L.A. Serena is in Florida with her husband. Jessica Mulroney is in Toronto and increasingly - NYC. The only people she lives nearby are the Windsors (Andrew and Fergie are less than a mile away on the same estate) but that family is a nest of vicious vipers.

| Kate's outfits are gorgeous! |
+1. She really needs someone she can trust from her old life living nearby, like her mother or long-time close friend. |
Sorry, can you translates for me? What does separate court at Windsor mean? Buckingham = Queen? Who’s Kesington? |
Each of the 'Senior' royals - the Queen and her husband, the Prince of Wales (Charles) and his wife, and Prince William (the heir's heir) and his wife have their own 'court'. A court is essentially an independent office for their staff, media personnel, and advisors to coordinate their activities independent of interference from anyone else. Like the President of the United States has the West Wing and traditionally the First Lady has an East Wing. Or the President's office versus the Secretary of State's office. Traditionally only the monarch and the heir apparent have a court, so QEII and Charles, but circumstances are different because William is his late 30s and they decided not to wait until he was Prince of Wales. Anyway, Prince Harry petitioned for a court and to have his based at Windsor Castle. For reference, the courts are traditionally based at the senior royals residence. So the Queen's court is at Buckhingham Palace. Prince Charles's court is at Clarence House. Prince William's court is at Kensington Palace. Harry argued that he was a senior royal and doing far more work than his brother and his wife who have their own court. But his petition was denied because yada-yada he's not the heir. End of story: Prince Harry was instead given his own staff and press media team AT Buckingham Palace under the supervision of the Queen's court. So everything he does is run by the Queen and her aides first. While William and Charles' actions don't need to be first checked by the Queen's aides only in line with expectation. So anyone complaining about his documentaries or what not can take their complaints straight to the Queen. Nothing goes out with her team's approval. |

Meghan has been running circles around Kate since the beginning. William and Harry are about equal in terms of activities but where they differ is although I think Wills is highly intelligent, he's also a stubborn lazy git.
The fact that the Royals have just turned their backs on a woman who is born for this role is just criminal. Kate can't even string a sentence together in public. And its not like she's making up for it by releasing public theses in private. |

The British media is falling over itself to proclaim the Pakistan tour a 'diplomatic success', meanwhile they cancelled 35% of their engagements, spent 2 out of the 5 days doing nothing, wore expensive clothes and took multiple helicopters to a glacier for a private sightshow, had six Pakistan ministers walk out on them, and managed to not meet the Pakistani public at the same time.
Shameful. The only great thing about the tour was William's cultural outfit.
The walkout - https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/kate-william-tour-annoyed-pakistan-20645808 The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived at the reception, held at the hilltop Pakistan Monument, in a colourful auto rickshaw, with Kate, 37, wearing a glittering green dress and William dressed in a traditional sherwani suit. Jonny Dymond, the BBC’s royal correspondent, tweeted: “Six Pakistani ministers walked out of the #RoyalVisitPakistan British High Commission reception on Monday night @bbcurdu reports. They were reportedly annoyed at their place in the gathering. Commission response to follow.” He later wrote: “The Commission has replied. It says the Duke and Duchess ‘were delighted to meet a range of people from across Pakistani society’.” A report by BBC Urdu said half a dozen ministers and close advisers left the event because they were not allowed to meet the duke and duchess. The report claimed the officials were not allowed to go near the royal couple due to “rigid security arrangements”. An adviser to Prime Minister Imran Khan told BBC Urdu that the “very stupid” security measures were made by British officials. Refusing to allow cabinet ministers to meet the royals was “disgraceful,” the unnamed adviser added. The adviser said Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry would make a complaint to British authorities. |
