Life is going to be a whole lot longer than you'd like if you can't adapt and overcome.

NP. That’s great for you, but anesthesia has a very powerful effect on me and I slept for 20 hours out of the first 24 after my wisdom teeth were removed. Everyone doesn’t have the same experience.

Where is the father?

Since OP thinks it’s pertinent to ask personal questions and know all about someone’s personal life.

OP, is there no Dad? No husband?

OP here: You need to STFU.

Orthodontia is never an emergency.

Oral Surgeons could get called to the hospital. They could have an actual emergency that takes precedence over your elective wisdom teeth removal.

The doctor could be sick. Or have a family emergency.

The office equipment may not be working. The building may have a water/heating issue.

Rescheduling for any of these reasons is not unprofessional. It's life.

Definitely, find a new dentist OP. This is very unprofessional.

Why? I'm not the PP, btw. Why is asking where your spouse is in all this a reason for such a response? Seems reasonable to ask. You posted all the info.

The way she asked it was incredibly rude.

I'm sorry. That would make me very angry. I wonder if you could get another oral surgeon to do it last minute while they are still here? I have put off orthodontic treatment for years myself.
Anonymous
I can appreciate the frustration, but I'm sure you can think of at least a few valid reasons for a surgeon cancelling four days out.

Leave a really bad review. This is very unprofessional. I would be pissed too.

Holy crap OP you need to relax. They cancelled an appointment. It's not the end of the world.
There's other oral surgeons in DC who have openings on Saturdays (if you're from the DMV)

So anyone that cancels on you is unprofessional? Regardless of the reason?

DC area entitlement at its finest.

(I would be pissed, too, but shit happens. Leaving a bad review, especially when you don't know the reason, is pure a$$holery.)

Yes, do that. And ensure the dentist drops you as a patient as a result. Good luck finding someone else who will do Saturday surgeries.

FOR REAL! It's Wisdom teeth, not your spleen. Geez Christmas. I have had 2 pulled, it's not major surgery, most people don't even get gas. What makes your surgery so special, are your wisdome teeth in your ass or something?
