yeah...1 hand, iphone as stated before. when I get to a computer i can dismantle you more efficiently. |
| 4 of them are other people though... |
They grew up in Chevy Chase. |
| Did you see the video taped unprovoked beating of a UMd student by police during the rioting after UMd won a football game? So sad. And scary. I could never send my kid there. |
| Nice try kids happy and partying hard,,antagonizing cops is as old as college itself. Beheadings , mass shootings, abductions , murders, bludgeonings , mass assaults, and suicide epidemics are unique to the Virginia schools due to an apparent deep unhappiness of the students there. |
| Maybe more of them are being brought into the mainstream so more of them are in college these days? So instead of deciding against college and just getting a job or living at home, they are more likely to be at a school. |
| Please don't send your kids to Virginia colleges. It will increase the chances for my snowflakes to be admitted. |
| Umd is a happy and healthy place where students become culture changers and geniuses. Where the teams have more national champions than all the va schools put together . Thes students have direct access to dc intern / job opportunities and many federal installations are on campus . Umd has more Nobel and Pulitzer grads and faculty than every other acc school. A happy school whose grads invented the muppets and Seinfeld among the giants of google and the universal bar code that effects every person in civilization. |
| And where their alums can't spell worth a damn. Isn't there an app for that? |
Believe it or not, we didn't invent the i phone! I know ...I don't know how we missed on that. But if we had, we would have had such an app ! UVA (sounds like sunburn) grads do spell well, unfortunately they are dead...drunk or contemplating suicide. |

NP here. Businessweek ranked VT's undergrad business school #52, and U of Md #38 and US News ranked the engineering program at VT #24 as compared to U of Md's #18 score. U of Md is considered 'very selective' by CollegeBoard and VT is considered 'somewhat selective'. I cannot understand why a PP thinks that VT is a better school than U of Md. And yes, I am a Virginian, and yes, I know kids from VA who want to go to U of MD. A lot of kids that I know in VA just aren't given the option of going to school out of state because of the number of state schools there are to choose from.
As for the violence, think about the pressure teens are under: work, work, work to get the hightest GPA/scores you can so you can get into the 'best' college, then work, work, work to get great grades, knowing that your scholarships depend on it, your parents are paying a fortune, and/or that you will be paying your student debt for years, and then look forward to graduating and probably not having a job and having to move back home. That's all enough to send someone who's not stable over the edge. |

Vt has ZERO national championships. That's hard to do,,.uva has like 20 . Umd of course , has 41 most in the acc. ZERO ! The school is only known for mass shooting and a grad who runs dog fights...just sad.
|
| Umd is also ranked ahead of UVA in every major that actually requires brains except business which is a joke because while Umd grad created nautica, google, outback steakhouse, Sirius satellite, etc... UVA business grads have created jack squat. |
| One theory I heard is that md ny and nj have high percentage of Jewish students most of which go to Umd and duke . Those kids don't really like UVA for some reason ... And Einstein anyone? |
| VA has fallen grossly behind. That's what comes of Republican austerity. UVA isn't a national player anymore. |
