Maryland is a good school but it is really lame to try to make the school look good by focusing on some horrific events at the superior schools of a neighboring state.

Also, don't forget that Virginia also has W & M, Mason, Madison, ODU, VCU, Christopher Newport, Radford--all state schools. Maryland has College Park and Baltimore County and then.... Frostburg, Eastern Shore, Bowie State--ouch. Can't count Hopkins because it is private and the kids who go there are quick to let you know.

hopkins is public-private like w&l but is ranked higher than any school in va. Umd is ranked well higher tham mass shooting/beheading tech. umd is ahead of Uva in world rankings because they think it is harder to be a physics/math/ computer scince major than a english major. and they are right. Umd is immediately adjacent to washington dc...the nations capital...not in the boonies with a buch of concrete buildings like mass shooting/beheading tech or lets pretend to be slave-holders again plantation-like Uva. Thats why umd has so many nore nobel and pulitzer faculty than both those schools put together. smart people like that don't want to live in the boring boonies.

Ha! UMd-lover posts are always error-filled. It's a trademark of the posts. That's the easiest way to spot the same UMd poster.

You left out Towson and Salisbury and St mary's why.... because theya re just as good as jmu/odu/etc... but barring details Md, has better schools

hopkins > Uva
USNA > W+L
UMD > V murder Tech
St Marys > Jmu
Salisbury univ = Odu
Towson > GMU

Oh.....and athletically Umd has more national championships than all the schools in Virginia put together Uncoordinated and bad at math is no way to go thrugh life!

Lots and lots of people choose to live in VA over MD because of VA's outstanding and numerous state-supported universities. No one chooses to live in MD with the goal that one day your little one can attend UMd.

people who are good at math do. thats why we invent everything and you invent nothing. also people who are good at sports do...thats why we have more national championship teams than all the schools in virginia put together. Now granted most people suck at sports and math so they love virginia where they can take easy majors.

lots of people go to virginia so they can get shot...wounded...blugeoned...gang robbed...beheaded...and then commit suicide? all this and uncoordination too? at least you can learn to do a title search, so you got that going for you LOL.

I could even through in Georgetown since its on our side of the river and md gave the land it's and we can walk there but I don'e want to shove your head under -water.

Maybe it is partly the result of growing up entitled and then having to deal with reality.

I think it's more fighting against being in the 20th century and pretending you are still george washington surveying a title search. meanwhile...the smart kids (Umd) are building a time machine.

Is every post from 11:55 - 12:23 the same UMd poster? Those posts are incomprehensible.
