Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS)
Touché. Or do you get as equally upset about school shootings? Personally, I’d rather my kids be trans than dead. |
Where's the school for parents who support banning assault weapons, object to school shootings, and oppose teaching 11 year olds thet they can choose their gender? |
Since when are these the only two options?? |

THERE WAS NO BREAST-BINDING TALK AT WESTLAND. The person invited to talk has explained how to bind one's breasts at different meetings, BUT NOT DURING THE PRESENTATION AT WESTLAND (and presumably not in any public middle school). The article on Fox is misleading because the title is an outright lie, and the body of the article tries to make people believe the breast-binding lesson happened at Westland, when it did not. This is another talk that the presenter gives on other occasions, but not this one. When you take out the topic of breast-binding, the rest of the presentation is very innocuous. |
There is no presentation on this topic for middle school age kids that is “innocuous.” |
Seriously? Guess we found the crazy bigot. It's one thing to object to certain content or presentation, but to say that it's inappropriate for middle schoolers to hear about the concept of trans and non-binary people in any way, and that they must only ever hear about cisgender people, is pure reactionary BS. |
Why does it have to be one or the other? How about neither. |
| People that believe this stuff are so dumb. Nobody is teaching kids how to bind their breasts or how to transition. Talking about things trans people might do does not equal teaching. |
When all else fails with your position, start the name calling. Well done. |

There's only one reason to present this to kids. They're not going to nursing homes doing these presentations even though the elderly are probably far more ignorant about such matters.
If you're too young to get a tattoo you're too young to change your sex. This is a 90-10 issue. |
+1. There is zero reason to present or discuss this topic in schools. This is a matter that should be handled at home as seen fit by each family. |
The goal is to "normalize" non-binary, which to be clear, is an absolutely recently invented concept that is actively seeking converts. Kids are easier converts than adults, who have the wisdom and critical thinking to know better than to fall for this nonsense. |
| So interesting how MCPS chooses to completely defy the Supreme Court, as if it’s its own little country… |
| The lesson didn’t include furries. I’m offended. |
| I love the way that any discussion of what people disagree with is construed as indoctrination, recruitment, or coercion. |
