As everyone here, I am horrified with what happened to this man. And I am also furious about what will undoubtedly come next.

So even if these two "girls" (and I use quotes in place of the actual word I am thinking) are arrested and put in jail, hundreds of thousands of public dollars will be spent on them between their court cases and prison care. But this man's family will be given ... what exactly? Pity? So sorry for your loss statements? I am so sick over so many resources going towards the trash of the world instead of to the innocent victims.

Are there any organizations that fight for the victim and/or victim's families beyond the initial offering of support? If anyone knows of such an organization, please let me know as I would like to support them with my dollars and time.

This is a dumb question but I take metro almost every day — how do you close the doors behind you? You just walk through and close. I’m just having trouble picturing this.
