Fake lashes, dragon nails, pushups… do men actually like this look?

You mean the people she pays a lot of money to style her do just ok.

Also, plenty of much better looking and more stylish women where she came from.

Oprah
Michelle Obama
Gail King

All three are accomplished, privileged and wealthy women but they don't have style sense.

You GUYS are absolutely ridiculous. None of these women where what op is describing in any offensive trashy way. To even put them up as examples OP’s weird obsession is offensive.

It's some what of a drag queen look, and there do seem to be some guys into that.

OP - I guess what I’m saying is outside of the boobs which I understand, the fake lashes and too much makeup to me just doesn’t look healthy or good. I do wear makeup and I’m sure partner would say I look better with some (the “no makeup look” which is actually still a decent amount of makeup when done well), if he were being honest. But if I showed up in a full face of foundation with baby doll lashes he would find it offputting and not sexy.

I have a hard time believing men actually like this and it’s not just women doing it for themselves and for other women.

I have a hard time figuring out why you care what other people look like. You already said it was not for you or your partner, but it still perplexes you about why other people do it or that they could find it attractive. Is it because deep down you're insecure and question your style choices?

Because I want to know if MEN actually like this look. So far only women have responded.

but WHY? You already said you don't like it. What does it matter what some of the men might like?

SOME men do. See Jeff Bezos.

No, maybe some men, but not most.

Long fingernails are offensive and unattractive.

fake lashes can be too long and that makes them unattractive.

How in the minority is he? One of the women with this look is a politician’s wife so I assume she could afford more natural looking procedures if she wanted to. Do women really just like it and do their husbands like it too?

Probably men who grew up around similar fashion sense but not sensible men.

Lolololololol.

RHOP had this scandal at a low boil: Housewife Wendy has a billion degrees and a real career. Some funny person discovered that her husband adored following women with larger, shapelier bodies, false lashes, surgical enhancements, heavier makeup and weave. Heaven forfend; how could this be, when probs none of these women were even adjuncts at JHU?

Come on. We all live in a culture where the standards are mediated by others, and we all live in specific subcultures with those dictates, too. It reeks of earned insecurity to mock the lashes or cheek tint preferences of others. Get a makeup lesson or get laid or otherwise find an occupation besides “snotty, dumb and disingenuous posting,” and keep it moving.

TL; DR check your affronted partner’s search history. We both know it won’t be “barefaced beauties banging.”

DH loves my fake lashes. My hair extensions he didn’t like. So I got rid of those but get my lashes filled every three weeks - have asked him a few times if he thinks I should keep them up since they’re time consuming and expensive. He says yes, definitely. I wear a full face of make up, most always. Real boobs. Happily married 25 years. DH often tells me I’m beautiful. I definitely engage in my beauty routine with him in mind.

Sure you do. They are everywhere!!! I hope you get pissed off and offended every time. And I don't have long nails and wear very little makeup. I just think it's HILARIOUS that you'd get offended over someone's nails. I really needed the laugh. Thanks!

The plain “natural woman” standard is only a thing in wealthy WASPy type communities.
