My kids are essentially underweight so yes. Plus full fat yogurt, cheese, sour cream, butter. Thank his for chipotle and cava. |

McDonald’s breakfast 1x a week, just the sandwich
Chipotle 1x a week. Chick fil a 1x a week, they serve this every afternoon at school |
Chipotle might be Chinese or pizza … it’s our Friday night meal. I get sushi. |
How... how do you eat salad dressing if not on salad? |
Growing kids need fats, and higher calorie foods aren't a problem for kids who are very active and aren't overweight. As long as they aren't eating it all the time, I have no problem with the sodium. We usually eat at home so they don't get much salt outside of the occasional Cava. My kids also don't like the dressings, so opt for hummus and feta. You really think a few tablespoons of Cava hummus is that much worse than grocery store hummus? I don't. They really enjoy that the toppings, like the picked cabbage and tomatoes, are brightly colored and crisp on top of brown rice and greens. |
| Never. It has gotten too expensive for what it’s worth. I just have to pre plan travel meals and and snacks and that can be annoying but I can’t be paying $40-$60 to feed 3 kids when we are driving around. As a bonus, my kids stopped craving fast food and when they had some with a friend, couldn’t finish it. |

| Maybe once a month? Our McDonald’s is so nasty and slow here. And it’s now like $20 for Taco Bell for my family and takes a while to come out. We’re just better off eating at home. My easy meal is pantry tortellinis with jarred pasta sauce. Frozen green beans as a side. |
| The one that can’t drive? 2-3 times a month (Chick-fil-A, chipotle). The ones that can drive? No clue. |
| Um almost never. Went to-Chick fil-a and McDonald's once each when staying with a family member. Discovered they gave away toys but hasn't been back AFAIK. We are vegetarian so its much easier to avoid. She's 9. |
Eating disorders are real |
This. People fool themselves into thinking these foods are healthy. |
My teen have never had McDonalds so I don’t know why you thinking your 1.5 having it for the first time was a long time to wait. |

Pretty often, 1 kid has sports practice 2x a week and a weekly game, and the other has a social skills group 1x a week but it’s about a 40 minute drive each way. I think it’s less harmful to kids than it is to us! Now that I’m 40 if I look at a greasy burger the wrong way I gain weight.
We split between McDonalds, Wendy’s, CFA, and Chipotle as our mains, switch it up with the sandwich places like Potbelly and Subway and occasionally ordering pizza if one of the kids has a friend over or whatever. Probably 1x a week for dinner and 1x for a weekend meal, more often over the summer when we get busy with camp schedules and going to the pool. |
+1 Our diets are overall pretty balanced and all healthy weights so I just don’t see the big deal. |
