My kids absolutely love Cava and I don't feel guilty getting it for them. Lots of veggies.
Why don’t think they love it so much? Would you dump salad dressing on a salad? Sure you are getting your vegetables but you are also getting a bunch of sodium and saturated fat. Healthier than a Big Mac? Sure. But don’t fool yourself that it is healthy
Growing kids need fats, and higher calorie foods aren't a problem for kids who are very active and aren't overweight. As long as they aren't eating it all the time, I have no problem with the sodium. We usually eat at home so they don't get much salt outside of the occasional Cava. My kids also don't like the dressings, so opt for hummus and feta. You really think a few tablespoons of Cava hummus is that much worse than grocery store hummus? I don't. They really enjoy that the toppings, like the picked cabbage and tomatoes, are brightly colored and crisp on top of brown rice and greens.
