Unusual but not necessarily creepy. I would observe how they are with the other customers. |
Maybe OP's "two-ingredient cocktail" was a bit more memorable... Templeton Rye with a splash of Diet Cherry Dr. Pepper? Blue Curacao with a Frangelico sidecar? Shot of bourbon in a tall glass of nonfat milk? (That's called a "Kentucky Upchuck") |

Yeah..just what were these “2 ingredients”? |
Three weeks is nothing! I went out with my college-aged kids and several other people to a restaurant in Rehoboth recently. Our server did a double take when I placed my order, and said “I know you! I rented some bikes to you and your kids in Bethany, and I remember that you told your daughter you hoped you remembered how to ride a bike.” I was gobsmacked. This happened when my daughter was 8–the only time I ever rented a bike. Photographic memory is a thing! |
example Stoli and soda, with lime. Nothing obscure or otherwise memorable. |
OMG you must be so hot! And humble too, pretending you aren’t just the bees knees.
Absolutely creepy for some slack-jawed service industry peasant to remember what you drank once when he poured it. |
I tipped the same few dollars for a drink that I would. But I will literally never go back there. I just don’t want to be noticed or remember by a random bartender I’ve literally seen one time in my life. I don’t get how that is considered good service from a solo female POV. Sorry, it’s a little creepy coming from a male server and made me feel uncomfortable and slightly embarrassed that this was overheard by others in the establishment. |
Does the essentially unanimous refrain that this is a “you problem” and that you have some atypical anxieties/issues give you any perspective? Or you’re just plowing ahead in your delusion? If the latter you’re wasting your time asking for opinions from others. |
See what happens when you don't cover your face and hair and go galavanting about withut a male relative as an escort? You probably showed some ankle too! Hussy! |
Nope, totally normal. I bartended through college and I may forget your name but I will always remember what you drink. |
Its his job. |
20 years later and I still remember drinks and customers from my bartending days. |
There is nothing creepy about this.
Bartenders, however, deal with plenty of creeps. They are not being nice, or remembering you or your drink, because they like you or think you are special. It is to increase tips. |
Maybe his mom has the same drink order so it was easy to remember |
