Here comes the judge!

Wow, judging millions of people who have three or more kids and then also judging society as a whole too!

Total judgment for the win!

They’re so smug and look down on the rest of us who did not find a partner by 30 or did but had to divorce OR did marry by 30 but has infertility so hasn’t had children yet.

Yes, you got lucky enough to have everything align perfectly for you, don’t judge those who weren’t that lucky!!

They marry their rich mid-40s husbands at 24-26 and they start popping babies out at 27 at the latest. Anyway, let them be smug. It's a good life if you can get it, but who wants to hit 40 and be married to a 60 year old? Plus you likely have to deal with step kids and a first wife who's got no inclination to make anything easy for you. Everything is a trade off. You need to get over it and stop hanging around these kind of women if their attitude is getting to you.

Because the 1 child policy in China worked so well.

So have 2, problem solved! 3 is hardly something to be jealous of. Those families are always begging for carpools and saying how busy they are. Pass.

Hah! So did I! I was like, that’s a pretty large number of people who are so smug.

I feel bad for anyone who has 3 kids or more. Period.

See OP, anyone can be smug to anyone.

Definitely a you problem, OP. I had 3 kids by 35. Didn’t marry rich, though we make good money now. On the contrary, I’d say that I experienced more of the commentary on this thread with women looking down at me and my family size. So guess it goes both ways, or just depends who you hang out with. Change your friend group maybe

America's birthrate isn't at replacement level. Someone is going to have to pay for your social security someday. Maybe you should be thanking those who are willing to have more than two.

Nah. I'm good. I don't have any expectation of receiving social security anyway. They will have it means-tested by then. People who are counting on it should be worried though! Especially after they spend all their money on their 3+ kids! Hope they will support you in your old age!

My mom was very young when she had me with her rich husband and due to the small age gap I've never thought of her as particularly wise or someone I would go to for serious advice. Kind of a ninny to be honest. There are pros and cons to being an older mom and you can improve your mental health by not focusing on all the cons (which you can't change) and instead relishing the pros.

What’s makes them smug and why do you think they have an opinion about you?

I don’t need my 3 kids to support me . Plus, I absolutely love having a family of 5. You, however, sound like a sad, miserable, old woman. Enjoy being an old bag!

This is oddly specific. Who is it directed at? Your sister? Cousin? High school frenemy?
