I have scarring alopecia and while I didn't know about Jada until that night, it was easy to look up posts that she had made earlier about her hair loss. While she doesn't seem to have total hair loss, alopecia areata is still difficult to deal with. That doesn't have anything to do with Will Smith. However she deals with hair loss, or does not deal with it, his behavior at the Oscars is his behavior. |
His career hasn't ended. He has, however, shown the world his unbridled, self-entitled, boorish behavior. |

| It’s no accident that the apology video and this PR piece for Emancipation came out at the same time: https://variety.com/2022/film/news/emancipation-will-smith-apple-release-1235329485/amp/ |
| Thanks for the reminder. I need to watch this… |
We’ll see how his movie is received. |
| You still can't be nominated for an Oscar Will |
Not a big deal-- he already has one now. |
| I don't understand why people think he has a mental illness. Is it because of this specific incident? |
Hope it bombs at the box office. |
I have alopecia too and that’s why I am upset. Jada Smith does not have alopecia. She has a face lift scar that she didn’t want anyone speculating about so she fabricated the alopecia story. |

If Chris said he’s not ready to talk, why not respect that?
Releasing a video apology to someone who says he’s not ready to talk seems disrespectful and self-serving. |
Exactly. Plus, Smith made the apology about himself by talking about how he felt, blah, blah. |
Appreso? Yes, for which he received a standing ovation following his assault. |
