Would you tell your friend the neighborhood they are looking is Trumpy?

Trump signs. Confederate flags. Blue line flags. Gun racks on pickup trucks.

And you don't think these are obvious to anyone with functional vision? MYOB.

Again, that poster was not me, and this neighborhood is not quite like that. - OP

No, they need to learn to get along with most everybody, as do you.

They would have picked up on this, OP. Duh.

Blue line flags and signs mean support for law enforcement, and against criminal activity directed at law enforcement officers. I'm not sure how that is a partisan political position unless you favor anarchy.

It’s definitely partisan.

Sounds like a good portion of the neighborhoods outside the Washington Beltway.

Another liberal Dem here. I was embarrassed about how elitist and insufferable the people were in my Arlington neighborhood. We moved one block out of Arlington in 2021, and it is a totally different vibe. The neighborhood is much wealthier but people have a much more mellow live and let live attitude than in Arlington. When two of my neighbors converse at a gathering, it is like a seminar on liberal and conservative politics. We have lawyers and lobbyists who represent people across the political spectrum but they don't pick at each other about it.

Let me guess the OP's preferred neighborhood

#1 - primarily white
#2 - top ranked schools per Great Schools
#3 - women who paint, throw pottery, do yoga and are supported by parents or spouses
#4 - yard signs telling people not to walk on the yard or to curb their dogs next to their "All Are Welcome" signs

I asked her what they think of it and they said their friends live in the next town over and they like it so it must be fine. They are liberal/progressive if that is not obvious.

Yes, especially if your friend is Black or Brown.

I don't usually plan to be friends with my neighbors if so wouldn't matter to me.

The only reason I would say anything is if the friend was a POC.

OP here. We bought last year and specifically avoided #s 1 and 2. Haven't observed #s 3 and 4 at all. But I guess we all know what you think about the women who live in your neighborhood. Damn.

I live in another area that is very Republican. There are zero confederate flags and gun racks. Trump signs were taken down ages ago.

Yep, I am MOR registered Dem. I believe I live in a "Trumpy" area. But I don't talk with my neighbors about politics. We talk about dead trees, having to cut grass twice a week, our kids or grandkids, home repairs etc. I have no desire to talk about politics, nor do they. We just get along and treat each other with civility.

Yes every time I get back from fueling my car I see my Biden voting idiot of a neighbor and thank her. Thankfully she no longer bothers any of us in our cul de sac.
