So you’re basing a judgement on what you’ve read about a town/city in a state you don’t live in? Don’t you have other things to worry about? And besides, what do you care? You don’t have to live there. Congratulate your friend on their purchase and MYOB. |
People that chose not to wear a mask have already lived through that harassment for over 2 years. it’s not ok either way but don’t think it’s only happening to you, you just didn’t care when it happened before because it didn’t effect you. |
| yes. but when you say something, do not describe it as "trumpy," instead just note that its substantially more "conservative" than surrounding areas |
Speak for yourself, I actually did care but I can't control what other people do. |
| There is Trumpy and then there is conservative. |
I wasn't really looking for the info, I randomly saw something about the exact neighborhood where they are looking and did some more reading. They haven't bought yet. And as I stated, if they are fine with it, I am fine with it. I genuinely don't know if they know. |
lol whut? That's like saying "you can't judge the climate in Ukraine right now because you don't live there." |
That’s a bit of a reach, no? |
Yeah, I'm liberal as hell, but I have conservative friends and family. I have no Trumpy friends or family, because my friends and family are not cult members. |
+1 |
If people were harassed for not wearing a mask for over two years, then they weren’t masking during the mandates. Demanding that people mask where and when it’s required isn’t harassment. A person’s refusal to mask at the height of covid deaths could have harmed others. However, if someone now wants to wear 5 masks and a full biohazard suit when they go out in public, it has no effect on others. You can’t “both sides” this. |
Yeah, but they’re not “moderates,” they’re Republicans who are aware that Republicans are viewed as toxic neighbors by people these days. “MoDeRaTeS,” I call them. - White liberal; but yes, European Americans are fun. “Fascinating.”
|
Well clearly if they move there, you have to end the friendship! |
My Bethesda neighborhood has none of that yet 3 people on my block were Trump appointees. And at least 3 more people are Republican. Does that make it Trumpy? |
No. Those are just people who benefited from Trumpy voters. |
