I was embarrassed about how elitist and insufferable the people were in my Arlington neighborhood. We moved one block out of Arlington in 2021, and it is a totally different vibe. The neighborhood is much wealthier but people have a much more mellow live and let live attitude than in Arlington. When two of my neighbors converse at a gathering, it is like a seminar on liberal and conservative politics.
