He’s going to leave her. He’s going to decide that that much time in New York, away from his family, away from his farmhouse, is not something he can handle. It will all be very sad and very sweet.

What I wouldn’t give, even just for a one-scene cameo, would be a run-in with Berger. Just long enough for her to be like, “You broke up with me on a Post-It,” and for him to sincerely apologize.

Am I the only one who found Berger 1000X hotter than Aiden? He was the only actor on this show that actually got me hot and bothered.

I also liked Berger a lot more than Aidan before the show destroyed him.

God no, I loved burger.

I’m also going to add that I found Aiden decidedly unattractive in the original series. I have one sentence for everyone: Aiden in tighty whities, eating a bucket of KFC. I still gag thinking about it. Also, the jacket with the fringes. He was the OG hipster and Carrie was manhattan. Oil and water.

Huge +1 from me - he’s a granola who smells of patchouli and they have nothing in common.

Why would charlotte be checking out Carrie’s apartment in that orange dress with the puffy sleeves. Did you attend some kind of semi formal event beforehand? Like the story line, it just doesn’t mesh. You can’t just put characters in crazy outfits when there is no fitting reason for them to be wearing them midday. I mean, she’s a stay at home mom for the majority of the time for f’s sake. Next Miranda will be doing her dishes while in in a tuxedo.

I think it was one of the movies where Charlotte was finger painting with her kids in a vintage Chanel or something white skirt.

I think it's pretty lame they didn't show us Carrie's first trip down to Virginia and meeting the boys. I get they are doing these big time jumps, but I find it annoying to have not had a chance to see Carrie in "Norfolk" and the sheer awkwardness of meeting these kids.

I think a lot of people watching agree with this. And ITA about the giant time jumps in this show - I have no idea how old Charlotte’s kids are supposed to be now - but this time there wasn’t one and I think she had just gotten back.

Kind of a random storyline. Wonder if this will introduce tension into the marriage, whatever the outcome.

I think he might quit the campaign and stay at whatever high finance job he has.

I completely missed while watching that what she saw on her phone while she was scrolling in bed with that guy was her current husband, hugging the woman from the hotel room a few episodes back, who’s currently pregnant. Heard about it on a recap podcast. The show could have focused on that for more than a second and/or had used having a conversation about that with Miranda afterwards.

I caught it. I thought it was handled well enough, didn't need a whole lot of exposition imo. Although the pregnancy was fast, it was inevitable.

But then, couldn't Carrie go with him? She can write books anywhere.

She could, but there's no way Carrie will leave New York for a man again. Definitely not to go to Norfolk VA.

To me, I think this means Aidan breaks up with her and Carrie isn't given an option. I don't think they'd want to pose it as Carrie choosing NYC/career over Aidan. They're making Carrie all in, as evidenced by her deciding to sell her safety apartment. So this has to be Aidan's decision. Maybe he decides he needs to devote 100% to his boys for a while and kicks her to the curb.

why are they still putting Aiden in tighty whities? I thought that was unrealistic in Che's apartment.

Charlotte went back to work at an art gallery. She's probably in her work clothes. So was Miranda.

Umm would you show up to work in those outfits? Miranda went to work at human rights in her outfit? Maybe if she was at the law firm OK. Charlottes sleeves were absolutely nuts. Not appropriate art gallery wear. Way too over dressed. Just like the show trying way to hard

I mean the clothes for the show were always a bit over the top / meant for attention. The clothes were another major character on the show. It would be kind of boring otherwise. Have you seen the original?

Agree. This is one area where I'm happy to suspend disbelief and just enjoy the spectacle.

+2, I love the clothes

The premise was that he was undressing to shower. I think it was a callback to his infamous tighty whities/KFC scene in the OG series. Crazy that he looks better now!

Actress playing Aiden's ex (Rosemarie Dewitt) was, I thought, very good in "Rachel Getting Married."

It looks like the writers are setting it up for Carrie to keep the apartment and sublet it to the jewelry designer girl who is being kicked out of her place by “the gay landlords”.

And she's married to Berger (Ron Livingston) in real life.
