SATC New Season - And Just Like That...

Agree. I thought it was odd she was buying an apartment with 4 bedrooms. Aiden already said the youngest has an issue with flying so its not like hes coming for the weekend that often. The other 2 are 17 and 20. They aren't coming.

Dude, if at 17 or 20 my dad's cool new GF had an amazing place in Gramercy Park that included a bedroom for me, no question I would visit!

He’s going to leave her. He’s going to decide that that much time in New York, away from his family, away from his farmhouse, is not something he can handle. It will all be very sad and very sweet.

What I wouldn’t give, even just for a one-scene cameo, would be a run-in with Berger. Just long enough for her to be like, “You broke up with me on a Post-It,” and for him to sincerely apologize.

But then, couldn't Carrie go with him? She can write books anywhere.

She could, but there's no way Carrie will leave New York for a man again. Definitely not to go to Norfolk VA.

To me, I think this means Aidan breaks up with her and Carrie isn't given an option. I don't think they'd want to pose it as Carrie choosing NYC/career over Aidan. They're making Carrie all in, as evidenced by her deciding to sell her safety apartment. So this has to be Aidan's decision. Maybe he decides he needs to devote 100% to his boys for a while and kicks her to the curb.

It looks like the writers are setting it up for Carrie to keep the apartment and sublet it to the jewelry designer girl who is being kicked out of her place by “the gay landlords”.

Agreed, but regardless, they showed that she is completely willing to sell because of Aidan.

Why would charlotte be checking out Carrie’s apartment in that orange dress with the puffy sleeves. Did you attend some kind of semi formal event beforehand? Like the story line, it just doesn’t mesh. You can’t just put characters in crazy outfits when there is no fitting reason for them to be wearing them midday. I mean, she’s a stay at home mom for the majority of the time for f’s sake. Next Miranda will be doing her dishes while in in a tuxedo.

Charlotte went back to work at an art gallery. She's probably in her work clothes. So was Miranda.

Umm would you show up to work in those outfits? Miranda went to work at human rights in her outfit? Maybe if she was at the law firm OK. Charlottes sleeves were absolutely nuts. Not appropriate art gallery wear. Way too over dressed. Just like the show trying way to hard

I mean the clothes for the show were always a bit over the top / meant for attention. The clothes were another major character on the show. It would be kind of boring otherwise. Have you seen the original?

Agree. This is one area where I'm happy to suspend disbelief and just enjoy the spectacle.

+2, I love the clothes

Listen, i get it. I watched the first seven seasons and Carrie’s outfits were super creative and fun. Part of her character. But what Pam field never did was trot another character out in evening wear in the middle of the day particularly if it did not match the characters persona or what the scene was. The clothes always matched the character and were appropriate for the scene!

I'm not a fan of Anthony. He seems like such a caricature. Why couldn't they have a gay male character who is more of just a regular guy?

They did, but he died. #RIPStanny

Agree. He’s obnoxious.

Berger should make an appearance as Aiden's ex-wife's boyfriend since they're married IRL! Also no one mentioned Carrie's stuffed animal comment when hearing about Lily and Brady...her facial expression...one of the few LOL moments for me.

In the original series, wasn’t Aidan’s first child named Wyatt? I remember a scene where Carrie runs into him and the textile GF/wife outside of a brunch place, and Carrie was shocked to see he had a baby (Aidan had the baby in a baby bjorn thing) - I thought his name was Wyatt.

I thought it was his third. He mentioned he has 3 boys in that scene.

It was his son, Tate, aka Tater Tot.

Edited to add: So I just looked it up on YouTube. It was actually Tate. Aiden didn’t say he had 3 kids either.

That baby in that scene was definitely the first kid. He barely had time to meet someone, impregnate her and have a baby that size after breaking up with Carrie, no way to more than one kid at that point.
