Which is dumb, since over 75% of the population is white and very few people actually have diverse friend groups, DCUM's insistence on it notwithstanding. |
Sara Ramirez no longer has to keep quiet:

The actor was George Washington in the original Hamilton cast on Broadway so will always be GW to me. ![]() |
Disappointing news—Karen Pittman (Nya) leaving too. She’s in demand, filming two other series, and couldn’t make the scheduling work. I preferred her to Lisa, whose storyline doesn’t seem to have as much potential for growth. |

They sure gushed about her in a way they didn’t about Sara Ramirez! |
Nya's storyline wasn't going anywhere. They didn't know what to do with her. |
She's a great actress |
Not in this show she wasn’t. |
Agreed. Her role in this show was not a good fit for her skills. She did the best she could with it, but she’s capable of way better roles. But maybe she wanted to try something fun with her career, and there’s nothing wrong with that. |
I liked Che. I’m a completely straight woman who loves men and d!ck, but something about Che turned me on. That scene with her blowing the smoke onto Miranda was so hot, I got wet watching that! And I am a bit of a prude! Lol |

I’m confused. Is Sara Ramirez off the show, too? I don’t remember this. |
Yes. Neither Sara Ramirez nor Karen Pittman returning. |
Karen Pittman is a real loss, though it always felt like she was on an entirely different show. I liked her character (and loved her apartment and clothes). I even liked her friendship with Miranda, despite the incredibly awkward way it started. Good riddance to Che. I really hated that character. |
