these women need to get other jobs. SATC is not aging well at all. Samantha was the only one who didnt seem neurotic. The last movie was so horrible, a new weekly show is not going to be much better. Watching Carrie and her dumb column and high heels in her 50s is just sad.

Part of it was that it was provocative, a bit of shock value, and a tinge of relatability/idendity to the characters. But, for me, I've matured and moved-on from that chapter of my life. I've watched some of the re-runs over the years and the story lines and plots seem so immature and lame (for lack of a better word). Yes, there is still comic relief/comedy of errors that are timeless. Yes, there are relationship issues that people cope with no matter what decade you live in. Yes, you watched the characters arc. BUt overall, watching it now seems...flat.

I guess that show Girls tried to make a modern spin of SATC for the next generation. To me, that came off too foolish from the beginning.

They are definitely killing off Samantha. The cancer final got her.

Agree it will be about loss - of friends, looks, relationships, kids growing into angsty teens, etc.

Someone will definitely get divorced. I bet Steve becomes a lunatic Fox News-watching Trumper and Miranda leaves him.

Huh? Everyone ages- Carrie's column can still be relevant to her readers, especially if she's still single. Why can't they still have their jobs? Miranda can't still be a lawyer?

Oof I was assuming they’d say Samantha moved to the West Coast or to Europe or something, but I guess they could go really dark and say she passed away from breast cancer complications. We’ll see.

How old are Charlotte’s and Miranda’s kids supposed to be now? Wonder if they’ll try to cast some younger actors/actresses for them to get younger audiences to watch.

I bet they’ll bring back the original cast kids.

The last movie was 10 years ago!
Brady will now be 18. He was “born” in 2002.
Lily will be 16
Rose will be 12


Lily was played by twins in 2008 and 2010 movies. I can’t find their actual age online!

Rose was played by 2 different sets of twins. They’re 13 years old now!

Agree - Nobody reads newspapers anymore. Carrie would have to stay relevant with a blog or podcast or like a youtube channel, but even those are a dime-a-dozen and hard to carve out if you do find a niche. THe rest of the storylines and characters are sorta played out already. There's a reason why hit shows come to an end.

SJP must really need a paycheck. Those movies were terrible. Also the show went from a kind of angsty but real comedy based on singles to basically hallmark garbage.

Yeah, the last season with Petrovsky and the movies were atrocious. I still watched and will be watching the new show...
