There is also a massive cherry blossom tree in the front yard of the Morningside house. #clashofthecherryblossoms |
Ha ha. I mean Floral from Alaska to 13th is filled with cherry blossoms. It's such a gorgeous sight for two weeks out of the year (maybe 30-40 trees). Floral is probably one of my favorite streets in the neighborhood. It also has tons of kids/block parties. I have a friend that rented on Floral until they could buy a house on Floral (they waited quite sometime).

| I also think Floral listing is overpriced. I know it's large but it's not very updated for that price. I say 1.15 max. |
Or shall I say it's updated but not super modern for that price point. Also only 3 bedrooms on main level. Actually, I say 1.125 max. |

Say what now? Can't believe listing price of 980K for this. Yes, it's huge, but it seems like it needs a LOT of work.

I mean, at least it's already been gutted, but yeah, that asking price seems stupidly ambitious. |
Agreed. The location is great and I could almost understand it if they were selling it for lot value only, but they're advertising it as a fixer upper. The exterior is too ugly so it doesn't make sense to throw $$$ into the interior. It would be better as a tear down. |
I'm the PP who posted it--I actually love this street--it's my favorite in CV, with lots of beautiful homes. But this asking price just seems unrealistically high, IMO. I showed my spouse and he guessed $700K before he knew the list price (I would have gone for maybe 800K). |
PP you're responding to here. I agree. Even for that great lot, $980K seems too high. |
the house has a lot next to it big enough for another house. Assuming the lot conveys....the house could be rehabbed and a developer could build another house next door. |

Best value listing lately. Crazy that 925 is "value," but still. Morningside is gorgeous and the house looks to be in great shape. I'd rather be in the sub 1M price point and do my own kitchen renovation when I feel like it later. Landscaping will put you on the garden tour on your first year in the house Slate roof looks so nice and lasts forever...almost. Sucks to fix when you have to.

I live near this house and just fantasised about upgrading to it. Love Morningside (which this house faces) and my kid has several friends that live on that street. Great curb appeal. I agree it’s not overpriced like several other recent listings in the neighbourhood--I think it will go for at or over list pretty quickly. |
Agreed. Beautiful home with lots of original architectural details and prime location. Morningside is my favorite street in SP. Agree with ppp that kitchen could use an upgrade but well worth it to be around $1M (I think this might sell above list). |
| Nah, that house needs a ton of work — all the bathrooms and the kitchen, and then that wood paneling upstairs and in the basement? Depending on the quality of the roof it could easily need $400k. Plus no apparent deck to speak of. |
+1. Way overpriced |
