Odd Mom Out - My new obsession!

I skipped over the insane personal attacks over a TV show, but this show sucks. I find the main character annoying to the point of distraction. I was done when she called the restaurant check the "Czechoslavakia." I don't know anybody over the age of 12 that is as goofy as that character and not in a cute or charming way. She is also the strangest looking person, all gangly limbs, shiny Botoxed skin, and thin dyed hair.

If wearing black nail polish makes her so much cooler & wiser & "real" than they, why does she live there?? I hope that she is smart enough to be writing the show to, in the end, make fun of herself for faux rejecting while earnestly embracing with open arms the life & characters she claims to ridicule.

Wow, taking this show a little too seriously, aren't you?! It's just satire, and yes, Jill is mocking herself as much as any other character. Obviously! Why the outrage? Sense of humor on vacay?

Utoh, thread police is back. Nobody say anything remotely negative about the show or you'll get a beat down.

Nah, it's just fun to respond to people who take a comedy so.very.seriously.

LMAO I'm a NP but it's funny because the people who seem to take comments seriously and lose their shit when people make a negative one are the fans of this show. I think it attracts a very type A, not particularly socially savvy fanbase. If this thread is any indication, at least.

Funny, that's exactly how comments like yours come across... not particularly savvy.

I loved the Ducky/Molly Ringwald/Sixteen Candles prom getups. I remember when I first saw the movie (at about age 15), thinking how incredibly ugly that dress was that Molly Ringwald's character made. It's still pretty damn ugly! But great choice for Jill's "prom" gown.

Fun show - I'll miss it!

My forehead looks VERY much like this and I have never had anything injected into my face....and I'm 49!

Sure, okay. I'm sure some dumbass will believe that.

46 here and I have the same type of forehead. Amazing what years of sunscreen can do for you. Might want to try it!

Me too. Plus a lot of botox. I know it when I see it.

I love Abby Elliot who plays Brooke and the girl who plays Vanessa. Don't love the main character.

+1
When you scrunch your face up and your forehead doesn't move it ain't sunscreen.

Its pretty ridiculous to think a 40 year old (she looks way older btw) in "hollywood" wouldn't have any botox.

Love Abby Elliot too but I'm getting seriously tired of Vanessa. Something about her annoys the hell out of me. But my favorite is Jill. She reminds me of my roommate from college - zany, fun, irreverent. I love her!

I like zany and fun in college too, but at some point you have to start functioning as an adult.
