You. The endlessly perseverative conservative Christian with the faux persecution complex who never, ever shuts up about the supposed “pair of atheists,” and who refuses to move on to a site where they actually have a forum specifically for Christians to discuss among themselves, because then you’d lose your opportunity to play the victim.

-not an atheist, Episcopalian

Newsflash: I’m Episcopalian too, and this is the very first time I’ve pointed out the pair of atheist haters. Although there’s someone else who does that and they may be conservative, but I don’t know that.

Tell me you’re OK with this pair that derails so many threads with, let’s call it what it is, bigotry, and who start so many hateful threads?

Well, congrats (?) then, because you have a DCUM twin who’s a conservative Catholic and drones on ENDLESSLY (including in multiple threads on Website Feedback) about the Evil Pair of Atheists Who Should Be Banned From The Religion Forum For Persecuting The Poor, Poor Christians.

BS. You need to learn about cause and effect. Don't insult people (the said "persecution") and nobody will complain about you.

Are you 4? You're completely unable to take responsibility for starting fights and then acting like a four-year-old saying "she did it!"

PP must have been the one who called Catholics "primitive barbarians" a few pages ago on this very thread. The moderator removed it. And here she is now whining that people don't appreciate her input.

That’s a new one. We have the UVA, UMD, Northeastern nutters. Haven’t seen a w&m one yet.

This drives me nuts. They will argue to the death on it too.

Related: I hate the posters who assume everyone on this website lives in the suburbs. They tend to also be the ones who are just frantic about the idea of exposing their kids to the horror-show that is constantly dodging bullets in the city in a neighborhood like mine (Dupont Circle). "I don't know if we can go there. I'm a responsible parent and I love my kids. I gave them life, I will not serve them up on a platter for death! We can walk to everything we need in Herndon, anyway!"

Conversely, the people that live in, say, Spring Valley, Kalorama, or the Palisades yet insist on referring to Old Town and Del Ray as suburbs. They not only fail to see the clear distinction in the urban disparity of the two places but also know nothing of history. Alexandria predates DC... by almost a century.

Why are the same schools raised again and again - and why do you feel the need to attack posters who defend those schools?

Sounds like you are the "nutter".

Also plus a million. Every single day. I just pass over it

The person who denigrates the same colleges, over and over: your opinion is not valued.

There’s some troll in the Teens & Tweens forum who posts the same gender-identity stuff on any thread about a struggling child.

“My tween broke her leg and is depressed because she can’t play her sport.” ”Have you considered she may be questioning her gender identity?”

Blatant s**t-stirring, and a fairly lame attempt at that.

Chill out.

I don’t do any of those things. Just pointing out my observations.

I’m sorry for her hurt, but in so many instances her history and views are irrelevant to the OP. There may be more than one of these posters.

And this type, every time someone posts about a problem they’re having with their parent, responds instantly in caps with BE GRATEFUL YOU HAVE YOUR MOTHER. MY MOTHER IS DEAD!

You can add to this pile the people who show up on mom-positive threads, like the current thread "Tell Me a Story About Your Mom," to complain about how their moms are evil witches. These are probably some of the same posters as the adult children who show up on every parent-related thread to tell us their life histories involving their abusive parents.

I'm chill. But I do think that grown adults who have to comment on other people's choices are not so chill, and have serious issues. My neighbor was just admitted to Harvard. I can't imagine the work it took for them to do so, I am proud of my neighbor for basically winning the lottery. It would never occur to me to come to DCUM and vent my frustration that my DC was not admitted to Harvard.

Does a grown adult who comes to DCUM to comment on another person's choice of college (or choice of fill in the blank here) sound sane to you?

People who get into Harvard don't come here to vent about those admitted to GMU. Think about it.

The realtors who post houses in the Real Estate forum with "Thoughts on this house?" Because it's so obvious, everybody else rushes to dump on the house. Although by that time they've driven up Redfin clicks and maybe even made it a "hot house" there, so mission accomplished I guess.

It is insane for posters to disparage schools they or their children did not attend. It is not insane to refrain from posting about schools you or your child did not attend.

Fixed that for you.

Did anyone mention Open Marriage guy who rants about women “unilaterally taking sex off the table”?

Or the angry child support dad who always insists ex-wives are alienating dads and the kids should drop everything to see their dads once a month?
