Related: I hate the posters who assume everyone on this website lives in the suburbs. They tend to also be the ones who are just frantic about the idea of exposing their kids to the horror-show that is constantly dodging bullets in the city in a neighborhood like mine (Dupont Circle). Conversely, the people that live in, say, Spring Valley, Kalorama, or the Palisades yet insist on referring to Old Town and Del Ray as suburbs. They not only fail to see the clear distinction in the urban disparity of the two places but also know nothing of history. Alexandria predates DC... by almost a century.[/quote]
