Gee, you've nailed it down.....

If they had evidence he murdered anyone, don’t you think they the warrant would be for murder? Lots more to this story, I think.

Are you under the impression that all warrants are made public?

In a high profile case, they would more than likely make it public so any arresting department would be aware. Think if he ended up out of the country, without that information, he would be let go.

They have evidence that he murdered Gabby, including a dead body, eyewitness accounts of strange behavior, his refusal to assist in finding her, and the fact that he disappeared. There are reasons behind waiting to charge someone that don’t necessarily include lack of evidence.

Exactly. I've heard FBI experts explaining reasons why they time charges and warrants later. The warrant for bank fraud is an easy starter.

Why are people expecting some international manhunt for a dipshit who, thus far, is only accused of petty credit card fraud? A crime which occurs thousands of times a week in every metro in the U.S. If police have enough to charge him for murder, charge him, otherwise this has long faded from the masses' attention spans.

+1 it’s not as if he’s a serial killer or threat to anyone else besides himself.

I keep thinking that the Great Smoky Mountains would be an excellent place to hide. I head of a fugitive who lived in those woods a long time before being caught.

If the parents were thought not to be acting in good faith (and that looks like a reasonable interpretation), then I don't think all warrants would necessarily be made public. You know, right, that LEO offices can communicate with one another outside of the public media? I don't think all BOLOs are made public, but I could be wrong.

They suspect him of murder, and have reasons to wait to charge him. Law enforcement decisions are based on factors other than keeping a case in the public eye.

He’s a fugitive with a track record of violence. Seems a prime case to hurt someone else who stumbles across him.

He’s probably way less dangerous than the average gangbanger in DC or Salva Maratrucha gang member.

The parents seem to be cooperating with the police. He may not have told his parents anything.

If parents have several entities, or had several entities, rentals, is it possible they go under the microscope, then feds cut them a deal to talk?

The father did a laughing walkabout with the FBI in a nature preserve. They went along with it to pump him for information. I bet this officer has a decade in interrogation under his belt,

North Port Police interview with Brian Entin, sure sounds like they don't believe the parents much. The full interview is on Newsnation.com:
