Do they also require joker warpaint on the coach faces and death skulls on their tshirts? That is what the coaches and teens were wearing at relay carnival. They also had a scary psycho animal painted on the side of their tent. Is this what we call driven nowadays?!

Don’t forget “REDRUM” painted on the same sheet with the psycho picture, hanging on the side of the tent facing the lawn where all the families, including young kids, were sitting.

Wow!!! First Donnie Darko and now The Shining!!! Chesterbrook has good taste in movies!

Yeah. It’s been a blast explaining the references (Donnie Darko, the Shining, It) to my young child on the CB team. Several parents have complained. It’s completely inappropriate and scary.

AFAIK they haven’t broken in and pooped in a rival pool yet this season or left dead fish on cars, but there’s still time.

WTAF?! Can Chesterbrook act like actual normal members of society? If you want a psycho cult culture why don’t you just leave? Leave the NVSL and start your own swim league where this behavior is normal.

On these chains and write ups it’s clear that other teams and even people on your own team don’t want this to continue. Do better!

I DOUBT a CB person responded to that. As much as I don’t like them, the CB team has always been extremely bonded and close.

OKM and CB have a ton of relays in as well and have potential to get it done. Overlee also looks good and has some folks near the top.

There should be a lot of exciting races.

We felt bad for the cb team. Yelled at in the tent for being a disappointment, and teammates didn’t cheer for kids who swam after the meet was lost. Tiger coaching I guess, but not a healthy or supportive environment.

Really? Who is close enough to hear what the coach is saying to them in the tent? I sincerely don’t believe any coach would say that to a team.

Also there was one race left when they lost and I think they were just stunned and disappointed. Not purposefully not cheering for teammates.

Not saying, screaming. No clue if it was a coach or senior boy, but he was allowed to scream freely at young kids that they are a disappointment without being told to stop. Anyone on the deck or up in the grass was close enough to hear.

I did not hear this and was right near the tents. If one was screaming about "disappointment", it was not from under the tent.

Death skulls? Do you not know the 'punisher' war logo? The representation of a vigilante spirit, a refusal to back down... No death skulls around!

OKM parent here: I definitely think Tuckahoe wins the whole thing. Their relays are just so much faster in many of the age groups. I think the second to fourth spots are up for grabs though.

Glad to hear the D1 dual meets are exciting and competitive this season! The one season our team was in D1 (0-5 record, lol), the meets were decided before the relays. No better fun than having each relay count. Keep up the great swims & sportsmanship!

Hi CB! Isn’t the punisher war logo from Frank Castle in the marvel series.? He was a one man executioner. Aggressive, violence, and death. Perfect themes for youth swimming.

Your post and attempt at justification show exactly what people are talking about here. Your team seems clueless on how this is perceived by other people. It comes across as threatening and violent. There is absolutely no place for these dark themes in a summer swim league that is filled with young children. Get a clue!

I saw it too and it was appalling. It surprised me that no one did anything to stop the behavior.

Yeah, it happened. From under the tent.
