What is Candace Owens point? Or goal?
A job in the trump White House? A job with Fox News? |
Attention and I'm sure she'd take either or both gigs. |
+1 Just last week I saw a couple who were out walking go in and check out a new build. |
Truth. Saving black lives. If neither of those two are enough for you, it's you whose motives need to be examined. |
True, but that's not what happened. Poke into a residential building, AND try to grab the gun of a dude you find there, THEN you might indeed go dead. I doubt very much that half of your neighborhood is as dumb, unless you are in prison. |
I'm a Trump supporter. While I believe in the right of citizens to defend themselves on their own property, chasing some one down, cornering them and shooting them dead is not o.k. Nice try to make this political, though. Get off your high horse. |
No, what actually happened is this guy poked around a construction site which he had done before. That is why the 911 call got placed so quickly - they were watching for him. They also laid out a trap for the guy. He was running away when the armed men in the white pickup truck stopped him, threatened him with loaded guns, that is when he tried to defend himself and that is when they shot him dead...all while their good buddy videotaped it. While I get how this guy had been a nuisance and an ongoing frustration to these men, they had absolutely no authority to chase him down and try to capture him. They certainly had no right to shoot him dead on the street. The ones who brought guns into the situation were the aggressors. |
Same thing when I was building after a tear down. Everyone jogging by had a peek even when the construction crew was present it did not deter people from sauntering in and taking a tour. |
Most people who do this are not there to steal tools and whatnot. I think that the guy in this situation probably was up to no good and he probably was taking things. But you don't chase someone down shoot them for something like that. Maybe if the guy had been peeping into a teenage girl's window or trying to lure children away that would warrant such a response. But stealing a screwdriver or whatever? No way. |
Sorry, your logic doesn't hold. You don't "defend yourself" by tracking to grab the weapon of someone trying to keep you in place until the police arrives to clarify the nature of your REPEATED suspicious behavior. |

So I'm torn...and before I get flamed, and I know I will.
This WAS a stupid crime and people better go to jail for it. that being said. for folks of color, have we not learned over the years that when some crackers have guns pointed at you, your options are to either run away, submit and wait for police, or stand your ground. Arbery decided to fight. GA does have a stand your ground, which gave him the legal right if he felt he was about to be killed. The down side is that he went into the gun fight with no gun of his own. The odds were not in his favor. This new video shows Arbrey walking, not jogging, and then enterimg into the construction site, which is private property(not his). and then three minutes later running out of the house, not walking or jogging, but running like a bat out of hell. Since this was not Aberys place of resident, one can infer that he was criminally trespassing which is a misdemeanor. Not worthy of being killed for, but worthy of him being stopped and questioned by concerned neighbors/police. 911 was called well before the shooting. So was Arbrey just out for a "jog" or was he casing the construction site? casue he sure wasn't jogging when he entered the property. a 25 year old adult knows that entering property not belonging to yourself is not legal. And then when he comes running out of he building, what are the neighbors to think? has a crime been committed? And while yes they did the proper thing to call police. we all know that this isn't star trek and police can't be magically transported to your location instantly to apprehend someone. So they chased him down hoping to scare him into stopping. well they stopped him.... |
| Listen, these guys are scum and should go to jail, though unfortunately, it won't keep weirdos like them from doing it in the future. But with that being said, those of you posting pictures of your sneakers over the weekend on Facebook must feel a little silly, right? I mean, it was obvious from one look at that video (even before this new video came out) that that guy was not out for a job--in cargo shorts? |
Great point. Now, if instead of some crackers with guns it's some n%ggers with guns confronting you, then of course it's ok to grab their guns, since they will be high anyway and there's much love among bros. Hey PP -- you had some good points there, but can you please drop the race bait and the loaded words? |
+1 There should be a way to raise taxes on anyone stupid enough to post pics of sneakers. |
I jog in shorts all the time. |
